First day of some dry weather on the new tires. Not believing how they stick when I nail it in first gear! It just lifts the front end and bolts.

Can't wait to git it to the track.

Rims are 11" ... old rims were 9.5" ... believe this point was already brought up.

Thanks brother ... since I only drive 2.2 miles to work (one-way), I'll leave them on for daily driving. With my old 275 MT's, I remember when it would rain I'd be all over the road if I tried to go over 25 mph. I just have to watch the weather really close if I get out of town very far.

And since my last two pairs of MT DR's only lasted about 1,700 miles, I'll have to put the 9.5" with 275 Nitto's back on when I go to any track other than our local track ... can't affords the wear to drive very far on these. I guess to get a few good runs in, there's always a sacrifice ... and always a financial cost.

BTW, meanass looking SS Camaro you got there ... gotta' work on blacking some more stuff out on mine, as well ... love the blackout look.

Not for you friend ... for the general public to confirm the size of the rims for anyone who doesn't know ... sorry if it sounded any different.

Erik, I'll get some more pics up today of the wheels for ya'. You gotta' really be careful with them 'cause nicks and curb rash show a little more prominently than the chrome wheels.

John, I tell ya' the Nitto 275/17's at 20-25 would break loose and spin all the way through 1-2 shift and continue to spin for about a second or more. That's with relo brackets, BMR torque arm set to -2 pinion angle, HD Bilsteins and all the other aftermarket suspension stuff, i.e., SFC's/Panhard/LCA's with the 12-bolt. With the MT 315/17's, nail it at 10 mph and they barely break loose and you can feel the rear pull down and bury the tires and the front pulls up hard. When the 1-2 gear change occurs, the tires make a loud momentary sqaul (and I DO mean LOUD!). No squish, no wait to haul ***, and no feathering into the pedal to try not too spin. Just a quick, progressive mash of the gas pedal and you're f**kin gone brother.

I feel now that I'm getting the full benefit of the strongest area of our A4's ... being able to actually FEEL our torque converters do their job. With the Nitto's, I was always frustrated at not being able to use 1st gear to it's full capacity.

Not meaning to 'rant-n-rave'. Just sharing my personal experience with the comparison I feel, so, please don't take the detail as being narcicistic. I'm about the most down-to-earth guy you'll ever meet.

Of course there's multiple downsides. MT Street DR's last for ****, but, they fit my needs because it's only 2 miles to where I work. In the rain you might as well pull over and wait 'til it stops. Some LEO's don't like the wide wheels/tires and the loud exhaust.

I still have the other wheels with brand new Nitto 275/17's if I need to go out of town and it looks like rain.
