Shuttle launch on the 23rd
there is a shuttle launch scheduled on the 23rd.
anyone know of any good spots to get as close as possible to view the launch from the ground up without having to pay park fees or whatever?
few other things we will be doing while there is the haunted houses at Busch gardens on Sunday the 21st and Universal on the 24th. the shuttle launch on the 23rd and the races at Orlando on 26th-27th-28th.
i'll be there from the 20th until the 28th at a resort in Kissimee. other then those days above, i'll be needing things to do to occupy my time, any suggestions or ideas on what to do? i have thought about a gator farm of some sort, renting or riding along on a swamp boat somewhere.... any other ideas?

You can see it from old town. Oct 23rd is a tuesday and not much goes on other than their shops. Thrusday is bike night, Fridays are open to all cars, Saturday is 72 and older cars at old town. This pic was taken from old town.

I think the best spot is right on Cocoa beach. Take 50E past OSW ALL the way down until you hit the beach. Make a right onto AIA, and go about a mile or so. There are plenty of docks to park the car on and watch. It's practically a front-row seat.

can me and 5 of my friends stand on top of the warehouse too?
thanks for the info fellas! it will be put to use for sure!
any other ideas on things to do, to pass the time, not necessarily car related? (man that was tough to say).
looking for things that would only be available to do while in FL.
