I had two reasons for the change, the first was.. i'm tired of the ypipe banging the floor board. me and Robert have done a few things to make this ypipe stop banging the floor and no luck. Even bought the thunder racing ypipe non bump thing and that didn't work. The other reason is the sound.. I really like the way the duals sound. I understand there will be drone.. I mean I was used to it when i had my dynomouth setup awhile back last year.

i have a stock SLP dual/dual. car ran 10s all day with the cutout closed. didnt make one bit of difference. true duals sound nice compared to Y pipes with a cutout, but it still sounds like a loud LS1. not a huge change IMO.
IMO the exhaust sound is way different. Yes, they're both loud, but Matt and I are buddies and hang out a bunch. Sitting right next to each other the cars are definitely decipherable from each other from the exhaust note. We've got identical mods as far as the basics but he's running the Y and Borla and I'm running 3 inch duals with an x and two bullets dumped. Its really strange how different it sounds with different piping.

How do you come up with that? I've had mandrel bends and horrible crush bends, it doesnt make a bit of difference on the dyno or at the track. Maybe if you're nearing the limit of 2.5" duals, but if that's the case, why not just go with 3"?
