Default WTH is with these gas prices!!

4.09 in Oakland I just saw on the news, and prices should be in the $4 dollar range in all of Florida by December or January. I think I just scrapped buying a LS1 car and going to buy a 4 cyl. Thats just wack...$4!!

I paid 2.99 on the way home from Sema/Vegas on Friday night. Saturday I paid $3.21 in LA for regular unleaded.

Until we can drill off-shore FL & CA, and in the huge reserves in Alaska...until we can build more efficient refineries...until we can build new nuclear reactors, we are screwed.

it sucks that some ******** in a different country and some ******** in our country can control such a necessary commodity in today's world and do what ever they want with the prices of it just because it is in such high demand. We are basically screwed until we get an honest politician who is actually for the people and not for his pocket in a high ranking posistion, but the chances of that happening are slim to none, so **** sucks

Yeah I noticed it went from $2.79 to $3.05 in a week in Pasco county.

Perhaps people should pull their heads outta their asses and do their jobs properly.

For me I'm used to it, it was around $3.80 out by Fresno when I left CA last year. I paid $3.50+ for over 3 years out there, that was for shitty *** 91 also.

what gets me is how all the oil companys are making record profits and we are the ones paying for it. it seems like there should be some sort of cap on the prices. especially when others are getting even richer at the common mans expense.

OH-F**king-WELL..... All the more reason to have some super-duper economy POS for everyday use and to MOD the hell out of your toy car and just use it as the fun car occasionally. In the past, I never would have seen my self thinking like this but, here I am... doing it and saying it.

I agree with all your comments guys but, I doubt they'll be any relief "given" to us... We'll all just have to bend over and take it or figure out your own way around it.

Supply and Demand, exceptionaly warm weather thru the 1st week of Nov, heating oil, China, outdated refinerys, light sweet crude going over $90 abarrel, etc etc

Buy a gas mizer car, car pool!!! and chant for plus .050 cents every time you pass the gas station, then when you want to pay $3.50 for gas and it drops to $2.99 you can feel lucky, Just gotta live with it, it's not going to get any better!!!

yeap now that everyones gotten use to the high prices and accepts gas in the high 2's as normal it will never go back to even high 1's. the gas companies aren't going to just be like hey were gonna cut our profits in half for the hell of it. and if it stays at 4 bucks long enough we'll get use to that too and it will go even higher. if you average 20mpg and drive 1750 miles per month and gas is 3.75 your spending 330 in gas a month. if gas was back to its acceptable rate of 1.25 you'd be spending 110 a month. thats a 220 dollar difference...thats a car payment, insurance payment, utilities bill, i could go on and on. its rediculous how much more expensive it is to live nowadays than just 2 or 3 years ago. and minimum wage hasn't changed so us poor college students just trying to get by for a few years before they can start their real jobs are scrapping pennies together just to survive. america the best country to live in my ***. i could make a 100 page paper on how messed up our government is b/t wars, profits, and the big guys pockets leaving the little guys in the dirt. and it also pisses me off how shitty anything new is now. everything "newly designed" or "technologically advanced" is the biggest piece of sh*t. everything is designed to break nowadays and put more money in the wealthy's pocket. its rediculous how greedy everyone is now. and theres nothing anyone of us can do about it except bend over and take it. it gets me so f'n mad how messed up the world is today. look how angry i just got when i saw gas expected to be 4 bucks a gallon next month. sorry i just gotta let it out sometimes. I say throw anyone from poverty into office and this country would be such a nicer place to live. billions a day into healthcare instead of useless bombs that just put more money into our oil enterprized presidents pockets. i've had 2 friends killed in iraq and many more that have seen their lives flash before them for no reason. and you can say we had to retaliate after 9/11. ok i give it that we cant just sit there with a thumb up our *** and look weak...but if i remember correctly that had to do with invading afganistan...were did iraq and "weapons of mass destruction" that dont exist come into play. i cant let myself believe it but the conspiracy that 9/11 was planned to give bush a reason to go into iraq starts seeming more and more legit. and i dont mean to offend any of our troops risking your lives for our freedom. thank you so much for being so selfless. i wish people like you were in office. i just dont see the reason for you to be there. alright now venting is really over.

Exactly my thought. I will definetly be getting one next year now that the z28 is paid for and with increasing gas prices it makes more and more sense to get one.

The price of a barrel of oil is artificially high due to speculators in the market. And every time there's a little "blip", like a possible storm in the gulf, they push it higher, but it hasnt come down in a long time, even after the threat is gone. The gas prices are now reflecting the higher cost of the oil-and I doubt we will ever see it go back to the $2/gallon level. The consumer is using just as much now as when it was below $2, so why should the oil companies lower their price. I don't think anything will be done until it really starts having an effect on the overall economy...when people stay home for dinner instead of going out ( due to the cost of the gas and not having the $$$ to eat out), or cut back on vacations, clothing purchases, etc.

I'm enjoying having a company truck. I put gas in the Z28 about every other week or so.

Thankfully I have a DD 4 cylinder, because filling up the truck at 20 mpg would get pricey QUICK!

Careful.

As was stated in a previous post until consumers finally break down and do something to not buy more, gas prices will stay the same or continue to go up.
