Default Thinking of selling the TA, your thoughts please

Hey guys, well I am really considering selling my TA, which is an actual WS6 car. it is the car in the sig with those mods plus some more that I didn't add. The car is in really good shape, only one tiny smaller than a dime sized ding on the body. The front bumper has a good bit of rock chips, but other than that she is in great shape. Int has the usuals wear on the driver seat, no tears or rips, and it has a crack in the passenger side door panel, that is it. But I was just wondering if you think my car would sell better and possibly for more money if I were to pull the cam out of it? It seems like the bolt on cars sell faster and sometimes for more. What do yall think... I paid $11000 for it before the engine and mods. Mods have less than 1500 miles on them.

BTW specs on the car:
103,500 miles but only 60k on 6.0 motor
arp rod bolts
chromemoly pushrods
ported oil pump
241 heads
black msd sparkplug wires
plus all mods in sig...

Also what do yall think I should ask for the car with cam and without the cam? Thanks alot guys

BTW: The car needs some more tuning to run great, she just has a few idling problems right now, but other than that she runs strong. The car put down 395 rwhp and right around that with torque, (we couldn't get a good reading)with atleast one burnt spark plug wire

If i could do it all over, i would want to get a car with less mods. Although I only have a bolt on car. I would just pick some other parts then what I got.

Guess it depends on the buyer, timing, ect.. When I was looking for a LS1 car, there wasn't much to find. Two months after I bought mine there was a flood of them.

Good luck

That is the thought that I think most will have, so I guess what I will do when I put it up for sale I will just leave the car the way it is and if someone wants me to take the cam out, I will do so for a little fee. But others feel free to chime in.

This post will not help you in anyway, but here goes

Me personally, I would buy a car with less mods, or bone stock and go from there.

One of my part-timers just bought a black WS6 similar to yours, which had a bunch of mods on it, and we don't even know all of the mods on there, anyways, he isn't mechanically inclined, so he wanted someone else to mod it first, then he bought it.

As I said, no help, but there is a market for modded cars. Just my opinion.

No it helps, because if I cant sell the car in a certain time period, I will take off the mods and go from there. So thanks alot bud.

To be perfectly honest... I have always wanted a zo6 and I would really love to be able to get one. So my thoughts are sell the TA, drive my honda for as long as it takes to save up some more money, find the car, sell the honda and just have the Z. That is the only reason why I would sell the car is to get a zo6. I don't really want to be a vette owner lol, but for the looks and performance... I can live with that title lol.

racing that "Stock" one wouldn't have anything to do with it, would it?

I know what you mean.. I don't want a vette either, but damn I would love a C5 Z06. they have so much to offer

I felt the same way you did when my dad bought his vette. Just driving the car at normal speeds is fun as hell. But then again when i go to the SSP meets theres vettes everywhere and usually only 2 T/As, so i guess what makes me want to keep my car other than it looks gorgeous would have to be that you hardly see T/As anymore.

Dammit don't bail out on me, too.

I'll be the only TA left!

So, care to explain what that means?

To be honest, with that mileage and condition, your not gonna get anywhere near what you payed for it.

A modded car is no different to a buyer then a car that was modded, and now isnt. The reason unmodded cars sell for more is becouse they know the motor has not been opened up, so you might as well sell it modded if thats what you want to do.

You say it has tuning issues, and we all read how you lost to a stock Z06, im thinking that if you had it tuned correctly, and all the problems fixed you would fall in love with your car again and not want to sell it
