Default Finally tuned the Z

Well I finally broke down and did it. Brought the car to Mike Norris to get it tuned. Baseline run on the tune we had was 354.9rwhp and 362.4rwtq. After tuned we got it up to 392.2rwhp and 389.1rwtq. Pretty good gains there. I was hoping for the magic 400 number, but we couldn't quite get there. I bought an underdrive pulley while I was there. I am hoping for the 8rwhp to be there.

We did a nitrous run too. My bottle ran out in the middle, so Robert pulled through again. He let me use his bottle. On the spray we hit 469.3rwhp and 489.7rwtq. Not bad for a 100 shot.

This is the first time I have used Mike for anything and I have to say, I was happy with the experience. Mike gave me a great deal on the underdrive pulley, and a couple extra dyno pulls.

Thanks to Robert for letting me use his bottle and thanks to Mike for all he did.

Robert has the charts saved to a disc. Maybe he could post them.

Thanks for the kind words John as they are always appreciated for sure. I know you did not hit your 400 goal, but I will take that torque number all day long. Thanks for the business and look forward to seeing you in the future. Now if I just had a black catch can.

looks like you need to clean up your nitrous tune. was the filter clean?

Yeah, I really only did the nitrous for the hell of it. I dont really intend to run it all that much, so I am looking for motor only numbers. It was cold that day and the bottle was low, so that could explain some of it.

That, and Mike said we should back off the timing and fatten up the fuel if I planned on running the nitrous more, but I didnt want to lose any on motor, so we didnt. I actually thought about removing the nitrous and putting the money toward other mods. I dont know though. I am kinda torn about the whole spray or not to spray thing.

Did you get it tuned out in deland? I reside in over in sanford, but spend 60% of the week out in d-town. Just did a cam swap and lookin for a good tune at a resonable price.

Soon, very soon. I am installing the pulley and a set of 1.8 rockers first though. Oh and maybe a 150 pill in the nitrous.
