Default need some thoughts on a trans swap

Guys, I'm really thinking about swapping out my M6 for a built auto trans. Does anyone know how much this would cost? I'm shooting for an upper 9 second car, so obviously the trans would have to hold up. And, which one should I go with? TH350/400, 4l60e, 4l80e???

The thought of launching this car with a nice stall is getting to me!!

By the way, I posted this in the FL section to get some local opinions, and maybe some suggestions on where to get this done. Thanks!

It is easier to swap the auto for the 6 speed. The turbo 400 would probably be the easiest. The 4l60/80 would need the harness and pcm programed.

I know someone who has a built powerglide for an ls1 with 0 miles that he is trying to sell.

Are you going to do the swap yourself?

I don't know if I'm interested in doing it myself. I'm kind of over doing these big jobs myself. I installed the motor, the turbo, pulled the tranny twice....all on the floor of my garage. I'm kind of over it.

I would sell the T56 if I did this. What is that powerglide going for? Does it include the converter?

92slowmaro, pm me some info on rebuilding the T56. This is another option for me.

i would go 4l80e or the TH400 with a 2 speed tail end, u gotta have 4 gears, especially with the long *** roads around here. usally u can actually trade your m6 for most peoples auto maybe plus alittle cash
