Default Where should i move to?? Help me out!

Ok, almost all of my friends' family has lived in florida sience we were kids and we have always wanted to move down there when we get out of high school, and now that we are seniors we have to start applying to schools. There is going to be 3-4 of us that want to move down and split the rent on a house. Im thinking on tampa or orlando. Ive been to florida a few times but was always with the parents lol so i dont really know where would be the best place to live and have the most fun. What do you guys think? Any suggestions on where we could start looking at homes for rent? Basicly ANYTHING would help lol! THANX!!!!

Travis

Tampa traffic isn't as bad as Orlando traffic. I'm not a patient person with traffic, so for me it would be Tampa.

You should get accepted to a college to narrow down your choices.

I live half hour north of Tampa, but have traveled in both cities on numerous occasions. So I don't have much more of a opinion except on the traffic as I don't live in Tampa. If you are about going to the track well Bradenton while further away from Tampa distance wise then OSW is from Orlando, you could probably get to Bradenton faster. Orlando traffic really does suck.

That would be my first step as well.

Have you looked into Gainesville? The cost of living there will be a little cheaper than Tampa or Orlando. You can attend SFCC for two years and transfer to UF if you've got your act together.

just stay north of palm beach county if you plan on not going into debt.

UF, UCF, and FSU are all good college towns to live in. UF and FSU being cheaper than UCF. There are good looking girls at all three of those locations. Tampa is cool, always a lot going on, but it won't be cheap.

Im not to worried about getting into a school. I want to go to valincia in orlando or itt tech in tampa, to start out than transfer after i get residency. Which city is more expensive? We are leaning toward tampa cuz my buddies family lives in fort myer and sarasota, but not if its going to be a lot more expensive than orlando.

Better look into ITT Tech as far as transferring credits.

I'm in Tampa. Been hear about 10 years. I grew up in PA.

This place is freaking awesome. I love talking to relatives up north on Christmas while I'm wearing shorts and t shirt.

My brother came down about 5 years ago, stayed with me for 2 weeks and found a good computer related (networking) job. Moved his whole family down a week after that.

Orlando is nice. Traffic is a total disaster and they have NO BEACHES.

Tampa area is an easy choice. Less humidity, less traffic & more fun.

I have been here in the Tampa area for 21 years and I only go back to Yankeeland for baptisms, weddings and funerals.
