Got pulled over right next to hollywood 20 in sarasota, because my license plate bulb was burned out (someone must have been having a bad holiday season). I get home to check what was up with the light. Well the light is on, but good god is it dim as hell. Anyone know any good license plate bulbs to use? So now I have to get this bulb fixed, then ask a police officer to sign off the ticket so that my fine can be reduced from $74 to $7....sigh.

 

wow some pigler must be having a bad week. I've got a led back there and never had any problems. On my girlfriends car though she's been pulled over for the same **** while I was in the car. I got out and raised hell and showed the LEO that indeed both plate lights were on and working and told them they might need to get an eye check because I'm a smartass. It just depends on the officer i guess, my best friend and girlfriends bother are both sheriffs and they have told me they will never give tickets to people for that, they will simply just give them a warning and a thing to have them get it fixed and then signed off instead fining the person for something they might not even know of.

 

Yep being cited for a light is retarded. How the hell are you supposed to know they are out half the time?

I have a wedge 5 LED in there. Its pretty bright.

 

How is the viewing angle? and where did you get it from?

 

i have the same type of LED. it works great, lights up the plate and then some and you can get them from super bright leds dot com, auto lumination dot com or you could ask nate at ledgauges.com if he could send you just one. ive even had a red one back there without a problem lol

 

Gotta love them that are looking that hard to write a ticket. I'm sure something more important is needing attention...

My buddy got arrested because the cop pulled him over for the bulb out and then smelled alcohol. I Make sure that light is always on lol... or better yet dont drink and drive lol
