Go check what casting head you have. Check the passanger side head at the front of the engine. There will be a stamped number on it....right by where the valve cover meets the head. I'm willing to bet they're 241 heads and not 243. You're car should be faster than mine with 243 heads, which is why I believe you're sporting the stock ls1 241 heads.

Wife's 2002, as said, came with 243 casted heads. Just as a few of them came with LS6 blocks, I think 243 castings won't be found on many 02's.

Mike is a really good guy. Other than me doing my own work, Mike is the only other person who has or will touch my car.

VERY FEW 2002 models came with 243 castings as 241 castings ran out...

For instance, JOSH@MASPORT's 2002 SS has 243 heads and an LS6 block. It was the last new SS sold in Florida in 2002 according to GM dealership records. That is why that little **** pulled me when we were stock more or less...cheater lol.

Congrats on the numbers. How is idle and driveability. Cam isn't that big, it should be smooth sailing!

Lemme know
