Tag Blocker???? What is the name of the "tag blocker" that is CLEAR plastic FLAT and not convex that goes over your tag and can't really be seen unless your standing right on it? It completely makes your tag unreadable from either side or top, the only way your tag is readable is if you are looking straight at it. What/Who makes this?? And what is it called?? Someone feel free to PM me or post up.

No I am DEFINATELY NOT, I just am trying to prove a point to someone, I have seen one on a corvette and can't remember the name of the one he had, but I want to prove a point to a friend of mine, that they are not as accurate as they say.
I know you just want the info to show a friend. But for what it's worth, it's not going to stop a laser from getting a reading and anything that covers you're plate is illegal in the state of Florida.

I know what your saying, and YES they are illegal in most states now, but this is supposed to block your tag from getting a picture snapped if you run through tolls and red lights with the cameras. I have seen it ONCE and it DID in fact blur it a little when not looking straight at it, my friend Chris SWEARS it works without a hitch I find it a little far-fetched. I saw this one on a RED 07-08 Z06 in town, it was at the Jacksonville Auto Show at the Prime Osborne Center when they had the Corvette Club parked outside.

The spray's are what mythbusters found to not work, they also tried a couple plates that looked different than the plate I have seen. This is a thin strip of plastic like a tag cover, and it completely makes the tag unreadable from the sides and top.
if you're worried about having the picture taken, go Transporter style and have like 3 plates to choose from with the flick of a switch. i'm sure that would be helpful?

I am TRYING TO PROVE A POINT TO MY FRIEND therefore I am not worried about getting my picture taken, and no Jacob I def don't need one, I am just trying to show my friend why they are illegal and also show him that it doesn't work 100%

I've seen those standard clear covers that are so freak'n scratched and sunbaked that you could barely read the plate from 5 feet away. haha.. why not go that route. Or, if you know your intending to do something naughty sling some mud on the plate the the big bubba trucks I see around. haha...
