Okay, I as far as volunteers for helping with organizing this event, I have the following:

1998MysticZ28 organizing the drive from South Florida.

Cas0484, where are you located? Anywhere near Central Florida, and would you be willing to meet to discuss planning?

TheSSheriff, local, and helping with the planning. Can you meet once a month to discuss the planning?

I would preferrably like to have three more people able to meet and discuss the planning, plus one person to organize the drive from North Florida to Central Florida, as well as someone over in Tampa to help organize a cruise from over there.

Anyone able to help? We have alot of time for the planning, and we need all of this time in order to get the details ironed out.

I like these ideas:

-The event should take place somewhere in central FL
-BBQ afterwards

 

A BBQ/Meeting spot would be great afterwards. I would be down for a kickball tourney

 

I can't fully organize a cruise from Tampa over there, but I'll be glad to assist whoever does take charge.

And how would we legally have a way to play? Or what kind of thing would we have? At the BBQ, have a car show with prizes, GM vs Ford, or something? NO STREET RACING. please.

 

well if you have it at a park so you can BBQ and play atthe same place

 

I just know we may have some loyalty issues with people... so I'd assume each side would want its own team.

Having a car show is a good idea, but can get VERY expensive when tabulating the price of trophies, time invested, etc...

 

so don't get trophies have it as a big gathering. You know what I mean

 

I gotcha. I am trying to think of a starting point for everyone. I am thinking about starting this thing at the Florida Mall, cruising around the Disney area, then making our way out to UCF/Oviedo and having the gathering there.
