September 11th (ride for pride)

Okay, I as far as volunteers for helping with organizing this event, I have the following:
1998MysticZ28 organizing the drive from South Florida.
Cas0484, where are you located? Anywhere near Central Florida, and would you be willing to meet to discuss planning?
TheSSheriff, local, and helping with the planning. Can you meet once a month to discuss the planning?
I would preferrably like to have three more people able to meet and discuss the planning, plus one person to organize the drive from North Florida to Central Florida, as well as someone over in Tampa to help organize a cruise from over there.
Anyone able to help? We have alot of time for the planning, and we need all of this time in order to get the details ironed out.
Thanks to everyone.

Cool, so we have three for helping the planning, and one cruiser from down south. We have plenty of time to work out the details. Glad this was brought up when it was to allow us to properly plan this event.

As said Im in for anywhere in Florida, Georgia or Alabama. But with that said there are some nut jobs out there and I wont ride without a police escort.
Im definitely down for a meeting after the ride. That would give the media some time to interview us and get some of our rides on TV or in the paper!
I agree with the central florida idea. I think it should be in Ocala or Orlando. Both are big enough to draw a crowd and people know where they are.

I'm going to be talking this weekend to some of the planners for the Turkey Rod Run. So I'll keep the planners up to date with any information that I get. I'm getting excited from all the info that I have gathered over the last few days. As i said, i'll drop you guys a PM and let you know once I have all the info.

LaSombra, let's schedule a meet for mid-end May, that way we can go over all the details, figure out a budget, and plan a route. Since everyone is coming from all different parts of the state (and even outsiders), I think holding the "Start" point at the Florida Mall would be a good spot because it intersects almost every highway, and is very close to the Turnpike.

I am totally psyched about this. I'll be there, rain or shine, no matter where.
I will be bringing along 3 other T/A's. We will depart from Tampa if any of you Tamp/St Pete guys want to cruise in together.
This should definately be held in Central Florida. But, wherever it winds up, us Tampa guys are there!! This is gonna be freaking awesome!!!!

I have pretty much decided on this thing starting at the Florida Mall, as it is the center for all travelers.
Those coming from the Northern part of the state (such as Gainesville, Jacksonville, etc...) can take 75 South to the Turnpike South.
Those headed from the Southern part of the state (such as Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, etc...) can use the Turnpike North.
Those headed from the Eastern part of the state (such as UCF area, Cocoa, etc...) can take 528 West
Those headed from the Western part of the state (such as Tampa, Clearwater, etc....) can use I-4.
A google map of all roads intersected. You may have to zoom out a tad to see all the roads.
