Default A night to remember, forever

First off im 16 so dont get all mad when you read this.

So where sitting at my friends house playing forza 2 because all of are gf's are busy. Im in the process of building a wicked RWD Cobalt SS. Ha. When my friend says lets do a photoshoot with the cars at this parking garage by my work. Were like ok because were so bored. So where heading over there and everything is going smooth. Then we get there and its beautiful no a single car was in it. So we go to the top and being kids we couldnt resist the echos the building makes. I couldnt hook up worth a **** so all you hear is rrooommm. rrrr tire squeal is a bitch. Then we do are little photoshoot. and say lets go down it then come back up seperate to see how loud are cars. are. The cars are a stock integra no fart can muffler thank god. a worked BMW 323i, and my Z28. So the Bmw and the Z28 were loud as hell. So after we go back up we say lets go home. took it pretty easy on the way down. so were leaving and what not when i see a roundabout and think its time to play a little. So were all going in circles and there is this charger just sitting there waiting for us to stop being dumbasses. Then he turns on his warning lights its a cop. so we all stop and let him threw. my buddy in the acura goes left and the beamer and i go straight tire squealing and ****. i go to a main street and bam im outta there so quick. Well the cop is chasing my friend down this back road and luckily the cop picked the slowest car out there to go after. Then the acura got away by some quick turns. While me and my buddy are hiding out at an abandon office building thinking what we should do. we decide take i-95 cuz we can go fast u know on ramp means WOT. So we rush to 95 and floor it down the on ramp. Next thing i know i see the yellow turn signal lights on a crown vic. are on under the bridge so we all slow down. he starts to come up but then by that time we where out of there.

This is my first encounter with the camaro and police. and i want to keep it that way. I got pulled over in my dad's GMC Yukon XL 3/4 ton for power sliding her and got off easy. So it just got my adrenaline going so i just thought i would share and plus needed to vent.

Oh and if anyone knows have people tried a Cobalt SS LSx swap making her RWD. just curious.

Ill post the pics up later to late at night to do it so

Chris

Hopefully this will be your first and LAST time running from the police. I understand you're a teenager, but what you do now will affect the rest of your life...... don't ever forget that.

First off I have full respect for the police officers. Hell i might even be one someday who knows. Secondly it wasnt really runing from the cops. The cops never really went after me or the BMW he went right towards the Acura. Kyles2000z your comment of being a ricer doesnt make sense to me. And you know what since you called me a ricer for that night, i can call you a ricer for those damn headlights.
Erik i will see you Tuesday with my buddy in the BMW
and dont worry SSheriff
This is my last timeAVOIDING like i said before i have full respect for the people who are cops and firefighters and people who serve the country.
But i dont understand why its when we get a little crazy something like that happens. I mean kids at my high school smoke weed and get wasted every weekend and i do known of that. Im a freakin normal kid with a camaro but whenever we do something a little stupid i mean a little we get into trouble i dont understand it.

You have a boat load of mistakes you have admited
to on an open public forum. There is a time and place for everything, this obviously wasn't it.
1. You said that you re only 16. Everyone thinks they are invincable from 16-19.
2. Playing on a round about. It would have been real easy for one of you to lose control and smash into a tree or another car.
3. The charger that was watching you, is a cop. He was probably recording you guys, there are so many cops with cameras on the dash.
3. WOT on the on ramps to 95. There could have been other cars on there, that would not have been a pretty site. Nasty wreck.
I have a few friends who have had friends that were killed on on ramps.
4. Before you say someone elses ride has a ricer look
to it, you need to look at your own head lights.
5. You stated that you have a lot of Respect for Police, Fire fighters and ALL Military serving us. You have a funny way of showing it.
I think you need to go in the military, they can definitly teach you what respect is.
There was a bad wreck out by Cecil Field a few weeks ago. There was a retired cop that was killed. Hs wife saw it happen in her rear view mirror, just imagine how she felt. A few others were injured. I haven't heard what the penalties were for the 2 cars that caused it.
Auto insuranse keeps going up, and everyone wonders why. We have NO wrecks or tickets but every time it comes up for renewal it goes up.

Maybe it wouldnt have been a problem if the police werent out harassing kids screwing around in a parking lot. There are actually real criminals out there that they could be finding. Im not pleased that my tax money pays cops to stop some stupid harmless **** like that instead of actually protecting people that need it.

You all often forget that police are here to "protect and serve" not "ticket and harass".

Police are servants and everyone often forgets their place in society.

That happened on 17 near NAS Jax. There was only one driver charged as being at fault though. The driver of the second car (The Mustang) was never charged with anything. From what it sounded like on the news, I think the first driver (the acura) was trying to chase down the Mustang, and his ambition exceeded his talent.

I love everyone that wants to sit here and come down on the kid, and sit there and make a long *** post listing every single lil thing he did wrong like he didnt already know it and say he knew it in his original post.

Its amazing how easy it is for people to forget that they did it when they were young, your kids will do it when they are young. He was out having fun, he knows he shouldnt have done it, and Im sure he wont again.

Exactly why I haven't given him any guff for it. I was far from an angel when I was younger.
I'd be a liar if I said that I don't occasionally "bend" a traffic law, even in my 30's.

I ran when I was about your age ... many times. Miracle I didn't kill somebody. We all know some cops enjoy 'harrassing' young teens, as it was said. That's why I ran from them ... wasn't going to give them the pleasure of harrassing me.

Now, looking back, I see myself back then as thoughtless and inconsiderate ... not that I was a bad person becasue I wasn't, but, it's because I wasn't using my head and thinking of the consequences and the affects it would have on families.

Seriously, don't run from the very people who will be the ones there to protect you when you least expect it. Law enforcement officers have to put up with so much ****. Just put yourself in their place.

Glad nobody got hurt and I hope this whole thread helps you to realize some things. I had no-one to give me advice when I was your age. I had no-one ... period.

Now see my version of the roundabout game is just putting around in the circle just a idle speed not drifting a ****. The on ramp thing is my dad always said you need to be going faster when merging into traffic. im not that stupid to go wide open when theres a car in front of me. And thank you for some people backing me up. Yes im a kid we did do something stupid the other night but i know what i did and you know what im not doing it again. And i know what respect is. i actually plan on going into the military just because of 9/11. I think thats the biggest honor a citizen can do for his country.
But like i said think about it its a parking garage with a slick floor. Its not that hard to get them chirpin. It was not like fast and the furious tokyo drift it was just a couple friends that decided to do a photoshoot. And i know my limits of driving, ive done numerous safety schools so i know the limit of me and my ls1.
Ive been to the track and i will admit it i did street race. but once you have been to the track im never doing that again on the street. so thank you for the people that understand and for the people that dont oh well... i guess the dont remember what it was to be a kid.
