A local junkyard in middleburg has a few camaro's that have the stock panels if your not wanting to paint your stock one. Its easy to do yourself, just rough up the paint with a scotch brite pad and then coat it with some satin black paint from a can.... a lot of people (including myself) have done this.

Use spray can semi-flat black. Even if you mess us, let it dry, sand it off with 400 grit, and respray. Mine took a few coats as I don't have a paint booth, and it was love bug season..... But, it still came out perfect in the end and future touch ups are a piece of cake.

I did this in one day, and I don't think i am a master with the paint can either..

Flat black is a very easy color to paint with..

Please don't be one of those guys who puts a gloss black panel in the back, the berger is satin/flat black not gloss. Like the post before, satin/flat black paint is so easy to work with, layer, and touch up; you really can't mess it up.

Do you apply a coat of clear over the black? Or would that defeat the purpose of the 'flat' look?

No clear coat, that would make it glossy. I just used some satin paint from Krylon, I sprayed about the whole can so any light scratches in the future would not affect it and to make the paint more durable over time. Here is mine with my smoked LT1 tail lights I just put in...
