Default Why??

WHY is everyone selling their F-Bodies?
I know that no one really wants to. I do understand
the gas price problems. We have 3 birds, Blazer and
a van.
I just hate to see everyone get rid of those sexy cars.

LOL... Perfect time to buy them IMO due to what you said!

Everyone's selling them, no gouging, competitive used car market for F-body's equal more than fair prices.

There does seem to be a lot for sale lately. Hopefully most are trading for something better, and LSX powered. I'm not selling mine though, at least not until I'm ready to get my 5th gen.

I'm possibly moving from my 94 to a 93. Going to look tommarow, paint is probably in better shape than what I have going on, and a slightly better motor than even the built motor that is sitting in my garage. Won't know til tommarow afternoon though, just makes sense to save me some trouble if I change cars.

Lets say if the clear isn't peeling and the dash isn't cracked, well there is about $750 I don't have to spend to bring mine back to nice shape. Engine is stronger than the one I was going to put in my car, and is already installed and ready to go. I still need valve springs/injectors for what I was going to do, plus figure I don't have the time/proper tools to install, figure $850. Car I'm looking at needs a opti. $350. So I save $1300 bucks and have a stronger running car. Oh yeah trans has been gone through on this car I'm looking at too. Well I save money if the nice engine I have sells, pretty much have someone interested in my current car.

people are selling them b/c vast majority of people here used them as DDs. now they are old. 1998 model ls1s are 11 (model) years old. people buy cars every 5 years or so. its just not the new kid on the block.

I'm going from Bird to Z...that's why I'm selling.

10 plus yrs old, gas prices,

For small example, I belong to a Maxima fourm, 2 mos back someone threw up a milage pole: I would say 3/4 of them are getting between 18-22MPG, I'm getting 28, but I'm not on the converter, and in the pedal all the time, all about the weight of the foot,

small example, maybe a bunch of miss info, but when I drove the Nova as a DD, whew the gas bill,

They're . The only reason I'd sell one of mine is because I don't need three. That and I'd probably get a GM truck that I could make fast and tow them around with.

Well I'm keeping my 94. The 93 I went to look at was in really rough shape. I should remind myself never to get rid of my 94, I'm the second owner and when I took possession of it, it was completely stock. I don't think I want to test my luck with another used vehicle.

I'll never sell my '02. This car is the reason i joined the AF in the first place(to be 100% honest) and signed 6 years of my life away. Since i've taken ownership @ 15,454 miles its been nothing but a true love and dream come true. Honestly. And since I've only got $1,019.04 left on the loan from date of purchase in June 06 Im deff not in the market to get something new and plunge myself $30k+ in debt. Plus with those new TSP 2.5R 5.3 heads commin' out...

Thats one of the coolest things about the LSx engines though. Like theres so much stuff on a '06 or '08 model that you can put on a '98 that ya don't always need to sell it after 5 years(in order to have the newest, latest performance feature etc.). Take care of your stuff, do the proper maintenance and it'll last.

Just my $.02

Make a GM truck fast he says... What a hoot!

J/k, whats up?

I am gonna try and hold on to both of my lsx rides. I have an 8 year old little girl who thought a targa top car she saw last summer was sooo cool. I have not let her realize the tops come off the Z. I wanna surprise her the first time we take it out. I think she'll love it. It'll be a classic when she leaves for college in it

i wont sell mine b/c:

1) its too far removed from being a stock type car
2) its the first new car i have ever owned
3) its my toy/drag car

i guess the big difference is i dont care how it drives, what others think, it its too loud or gets **** milage. i own it and its a toy.
