Yep same here. Only one run Have no intention of returning next year. Going to go and get some seat time and be done with it. Oil Downs+NHRA officals not knowing about whats going on+officals were dicks+theres no reason to pay 40 dollars for 2 runs=
I mean its not worth going through the torture of people not knowing whats going on and every guy with his broke car coming out for the 1 in a billion chance to get into the 16 and then you dont get money unless you win first round! I think to give racers more bang for their buck they should offer a bracket race or gamblers race to those who dont make the field with a 1000 dollar purse or something. But to pay 40 dollars for 2 runs sucks.

I've pretty much had it with Gainesville. I've been going on and off for quite a few years....since is was ONLY $15 to race. The combination of $25 to run and the frequency of breakdown/wrecks makes it an absolute horrible trip....and having fun is out of the question when someone wrecks or breaks down every 10 friggin' cars. It's no longer a "fun" trip for me, but more of just to see if a new mod works on the track.

Chris told me Doc got down there really late so he isn't going to be able to run it, due to NO testing time but everybody else seems to have gotten ONE test run last night maybe two Chris can't remember. I wish I could have been off I want to be there so friggin bad.

Rick whats up with that rear? i saw/heard the whole thing, wow...and im glad i got top eliminator club tickets because it looked packed on the g/a side of the house. It seemed like the miata/mark/rick were all having problems hooking up. other than that it was a good time, with no beer allowed

It was pretty fun overall. It doesn't really compare to a late model event unless you're just into seeing old bracket cars (75% of which are obnoxiously loud, not that fast, and have 4000 stickers from sponsors who don't give them a dime).

i dont know what everyones talking about. i had a great time both days. i stayed shitfaced fri and sat. im even gonna be on the show cuz when the camera crew was making their rounds filming the crowd, we were down at the fence and i jumped up in the cameras face and he panned down on us and we started showin our *** callin Rich a ***

Incorrecto, My friend Ryan made it into the final 8 and won a $1000. This is one of the cars I was talking about being finished. It's been repainted, but is still red. Here's an old video of it running:

I made a separate thread about my time at the track, but it was great. The guy in the Nova is a good friend of mine from Ocala. We were estactic just to get picked for the 16 cars but winning a few round was awesome!
