What do I need to know about FL?
I have a friend that lives in Gville and he says that since it's a big college town, he orders food to his house from like any restaurant in the area. I guess they have these services that are dirt cheap who go around and pick up your food? Must be nice ;P

The F-Body's in this area are the best DOC and the crew are some real stand up guys. The only thing that sucks is the heat. You can take the man out of the moutain but you can never take the moutain out of the man. LET'S GO MOUTAINEERS

**** that. there is plenty of jobs in g ville. you just got to WANT to work thats all.anyway, g ville is a cool town. lots of eye candy.

Well, I'm officially here and my apartment blows (Pointe West on SW 34th). As of right now, I've been up for over 37 hours straight and somehow, I'm not real tired. We drove straight through other than stopping for gas, South of the Border, and for breakfast at IHOP. I drove a 17' U-Haul packed wall-to-wall, bottom-to-top and hauling an open car trailer with my wife's' '97 Stratus on top. My wife was in the passenger seat of course. My buddy and his girlfriend drove my Camaro down for me.
So we get into the apartment and there's already a few things wrong with it. Stupid **** too. The master bath shower doesn't drain very well, the kitchen cabinets are ******* filthy, the fridge and freezer smell like moldy, freezer-burned maple syrup, among many other things. I've got a list with at least 15 different things wrong.
I figure I'll deal with everything for a year, find a nicer apartment, end my lease, and move. I definately don't want to stay here. I'll end up paying a company to move my furniture this time though. I can't believe how much work that was.
And to top it all off? I drove my Camaro early this afternoon to help my buddy drop my U-Haul off and everything was fine. 4 hours later, we all come out to get something to eat and my front passenger tire is flat. So now I get to spend time tomorrow trying to figure out why it went flat and hope it's just a nail or something I can plug.
I love Florida.

Welcome to Florida! When the housing boom was going on a few years ago nails in tires were an everyday occurance. I personally cant wait to get the F out. I hate Florida with a passion and would like to cut it off and send it to Cuba when I leave. 2 more years to go.......

Well it turns out that the flat tire was just a faulty valve stem. Thankfully, it waited until after the 1000 mile trip to go flat. And even better, the Tires Plus on SW 34th & University replaced the valve stem free of charge.
Things are getting a little better now. I have to go bitch to the apartment workers about fixing **** though. They still haven't come to do anything and I spoke to them on Sunday about the issues we are having. We're finally getting things unpacked though which is a relief. I have a job interview tomorrow morning as well. Things are looking up!
If anyone sees a NBM Z28 with an SS hood around Gainesville, give me a wave!
