Looking for some help/learning
Looking for some help/learning Well I have decided to finally pick up a set of Long Tube headers and a Cam shaft. I was wondering if anybody would be willing to put them in while I help and learn along the way. I really have no tools at all. But Don't mind a 2 hour drive.
I don't mind helping out and learning. Also don't mind buying the beer/liqour/(as long as your of the legal age of course!) food either. Also, Could anybody tell me what supporting mods i would need for this Cam shaft for my 1994 Firebird Formula? New Roller Rockers or what?

Vulcan, I am located in Gainesville. I have done headers before (All LS1), but I have never done a cam on an LT1, so I can take care of at least 1 of your mods.

I am attending a Law Enforcement Academy which starts on the 25th of August, which requires me to be in attendance from Monday-Friday from 1:00PM - 10:00PM
On the weekend I will be free, and the install (between the both of us) will take 6-9 hours at least, depending on how tricky it is. On the outside, I will have you back on your way to Hudson on Sunday by 4:00PM.

Gary, check in the LT1 section about that cam, see if it will work well if you have stock heads. Revxtreme might be the closest for a dynotune/cam install incase no one can help you with the cam install. Being a 94 they should be able to tune it. I'm in Spring Hill and have everything that would be needed to do the headers, I just never know what I'm up to, so I might be around when you get the headers. Also you ever come up Thursdays for the Chickfila show?

Thanks for all the info guys. I thought I'd ask on here Since there are more people who were willing to help. I posted on CZ28 with no response. So i guess for now I will only go with the Long Tubes. Then when I'm ready I will look into cams that don't need an aggressive tune.

I just randomly go, I was just thinking I hadn't ever seen a LT1 Formula up there. If I'm up there this week I usually park my half rust/primer half black Silverado closer to Sears then the rest of the vehicles, I'll be wearing a white tshirt that says Tommy's Elite Rides and probably wearing a desert camo hat. I think if I go this week I will go around 6ish, at 5 last time there wasn't a lot of vehicles up there yet.
