Exhaust flames
I went to a local "meet" today and i parked and a buddy asked me to rev so i gave a quick WOT hit
I try to not show off in a basically stock car. I got out of my car and some guy comes up and all excited asks "can you shoot flames out of the exhaust?" and I answer "why would i want to do that?" and with a dumbfounded look on his face he walks away. Anyone else have this fascination? The group was a mix of all kinds of cars but all the skittles proceeded to rev the **** out their motors, bouncing off the limiter, just to get a flame to shoot out.
Am I the only one that thinks this is lame?
Normally they put a spark plug in the tailpipe and ignite it with an old model T coil. They would rev up the engine while pulling the choke, making the mixture rich. Then they hit the coil button to fire off the tailpipe mixture. Later systems have a propane jet in the exhaust for the mix and can lay 10ft + flames.

i agree
a few weeks ago a buddy of mine and his girl were in their grand prix. My buddy loves my car so he was messing with me on the highway while we were all on our way to see this movie. Well after we exited we hit this little side highway and I mashed it good from 1st to 2nd. When we got to the theatre they told me I shot a flame when I was shifting. Made me feel good hahaha. I didn't know it'd do it.
