so earlier today
Regardless if he had 1 beer or 10 beers, that's not a chance you can take.
It's not a matter of knowing your limitations, it's called being socially responsible. I dont' commit acts that break the law and could possibly injury or kill somebody else on the roads - I would expect others to have the same courtesy.
People that disregard others people safety usually never have experienced pain themselves. Doing what I do for a living, I've realized that pain changes people's outlooks on things.
Here's an example:
Here's Jacki Saburido in 1999:

Then, some douchebag who was drinking hit her her head on:

The car caught fire and the girl was trapped for a full minute while being burned by hot oil and gasoline. This is the result:

She can't even wipe her tears because the fingers on both hands were severed:

And this is the ******* that did it. I'm sure he knew his limits too:

DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE!!! GET IT?!
There's no way to know this folks! Sorry to tell you! lol
The only one that knows is the one in the car, but in this case, WE'RE NOT THAT GUY...
Read the original post... It specifically raises the question of what WE AS OBSERVERS should do, call or not, NOT KNOWING HOW many the dude drinking has had... OMG, somebody please tell me you understand this flow of logic! I'm losing faith here in people's intelligence.
Man, I never imagined there were this many irresponsible people here, this coming from a person that LOVES to get smashed.
OMG, and what very sad pics...

Prochargedchevyi, what do you do for a living?
Well, she continued on and fled the scene. I called 911 and gave them the description of the car and what had just occured. An officer came out to write the report and told me they couldn't locate the vehicle (go figure). I was histerical and trying to talk with him. My mom and my boss (who is an attorney) and a few others were standing with me waiting on a tow truck and as I was talking I just happen to look up and I saw "the car" turning back into the apartment complex. I yelled out "there she is" and the cop pulled out and stopped traffic and as he got behind her vehicle, she went up over a curb and came back down and hit a stop sign. We standing there like WTF is going on. Anyway an hour or so later he comes back over and tells me "we got her". She was DUI but was not alcohol, she was HIGH on pain killers and admitted to the cop she SHOULD NOT have been driving and she knew she had caused an accident but could not stop because she was late for an appointment with her probation officer. We were both lucky because we could of both been killed because of her addiction and ignorance.
I have no tolerance for drinking and driving so yes I would have called that person in. A little late now but I think this all gives us something to think about. It could be you or one of your family members that are killed or seriously injured for life. I had $4000.00 worth of damage when all was said and done which = engine cradle, oil pan, trans pan, L and R struts and lower control arms, two right side wheels which were broke in half and two tires. I now have 4 herniated discs in my neck and migraines (that I never had) all thanks to her. She is sitting in jail and will continue to be there until her trial this Monday. Sorry for the long post but just wanted to make everyone aware of what drinking and driving and being HIGH on presciption pain killers can do. In this situation it turned out ok because we are both alive. It could of been worse..
That is typical Ocoee though, and thats the sad part. I dont know if they wouldve done anything about it?
<<like that. Now I laughed at first but then I though about reporting it.. I didn't. Should I have? I kind of feel guilty that I didn't.
mind you, this was on bluford about 200 yards from the OPD station..
The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time

IMHO : We all have a little idiot in us.... sometimes its debatably excusable. Although, I believe blatent displays such as the one described should be reported and dealt with to the full extent of the law.

There are several ways that Law Enforcement can develop Probable Cause. When a person calls in and reports something and gives the law enforcement agency his/her name and/or contact information, that gives the officer probabale cause (also sometimes interchanged with reasonable suspicion) that allows him/her to conduct the traffic stop, because it is FAR less likely to be a prank call (obviously if they have your info they can charge you with falsifying a police report, etc...)
However, if an anonymous tipster calls in, the Officer must make sure the tip is reliable, and that it corroborates a future event.
Here is an example:
A guy wearing a blue shirt and blue pants is selling fertilizer out of his yellow Volkswagen Van. An anonymous tipster calls in and says "I have a guy wearing a blue shirt, blue pants, and driving a yellow VW Van at the intersection of 1st and Main dealing drugs".
Although the description is very reliable, this is not enough PC for an arrest, because it does not corroborate a future event. Anything found during that encounter may be inadmissible.
However, if someone said the above description and told Police ".....and he is going to be meeting a guy wearing a white shirt and green pants at 2nd and Main at about 3:00PM and sell the guy drugs", then all the Officer has to do is wait until the said time at the said intersection, and attempt to corroborate the story (confirm that it is true). THIS DEVELOPS THE PROPER AMOUNT OF PROBABLE CAUSE.
So for your DUI thing, if you decide to remain anonymous, the Officer can respond to your call (they have to take all of them), and try to establish a driving pattern, etc... However, it would be tough to fight in court because a Defense Attorney is going to be asking the Officer questions like "Why did you pick my client's vehicle to follow?" "What was your location before responding to the incident?" If the Officer only has an anonymous tip to rely on, the person may very well walk.

Would you call in street racing if you saw it?

Just a little food for thought.
Just a little food for thought.
You T-bone some 16 yr old girl pulling out of a gas station at 130mph, thats not going to be pretty, or if you cross the yellow lines and hit a car head on at 55, either way its going to be fatal.
I definitly see your point, not trying to take a side just trying to fuel the fire

, I'm willing to be the majority will see dui as being worse than street racing. Similarly, if any average citizen sees me streetracing, I hope they call it in because I'm an ******* for racing around other people... Right?

MOST people streetrace around nobody... DUH, no one wants to get caught... If they're racing around other innocent people on busy roads, throw their *** in jail...
Rednecks drinking beers while driving back from work ARE NOT doing on it a 1/4 mile stretch of road with no one around except another drinker... Alcohol is in their system THEIR WAY BACK FROM WORK, presumably, while encountering MANY PEOPLE... Apples and oranges people.
