Default so earlier today

I was driving through downtown ocoee and I see the typical ocoee redneck driving the opposite direction and as we passed I see him throw back a budweiser <<like that. Now I laughed at first but then I though about reporting it.. I didn't. Should I have? I kind of feel guilty that I didn't.

mind you, this was on bluford about 200 yards from the OPD station..

At twenty years of age, I would have said, "No. Why be hating?"

However, having a 11-month old son now and remembering what it felt like a couple of weeks ago when my wife called me from a ditch after losing control of her SUV, telling me that she was so nervous because she thought she was gonna die and flip her Mariner with my son in his child seat after some **** pulled out into a road with a right turn after taking some stop without even turning his head to the left,

I'm gonna have to say... I would have called, especially if there were other cars around, but I suppose the lowlife's own life is important as well.

yea i know, thats what i was talking about too. i was just making a comparison. drinking AND driving or drinking THEN driving. the only difference is open container.
my point is if your gonna call the law on someone with open container then you might as well sit out in front of a bar and call the law on everyone that gets in their car and leaves.

So somebody driving out on the road right now might have committed assault/robbery... No one would know because the weapon/merchandise/etc. might be in the trunk, but it is otherwise out of sight. This driver slips by.

Now, someone driving out on the road committed this act, and it is apparent to the casual observer due to the fact that this person is driving around waving the bloody knife around and yelling out the car window how much money they just robbed.

By your logic, the second man who incriminated himself should not be bothered with by good Samaritans because there is no telling how many other criminals they might have missed, which would be unfair... Wow... I can see you are the type to drink beers on the road... It's a good thing the majority will never agree with such a ridiculous position.

I work hard too. I like to get ****-faced too... WTF is the big deal about waiting a few minutes to get home first before drinking?

Sometimes I like to get trashed when I go out too... No biggie, I'd rather not drive so I can get more trashed.

There's no logic to drinking and driving... Yes, it's as stupid to drinking THEN driving, and since you won't catch most of the latter how dumb would it be to not catch the former, either? lol, woot, let's have both kinds on the road!

After reading this and now making it obvious what kind of low lifes actually do this.. I should have called. Next time I will. So being in the heat all day constitutes a cold beer? why not a gatorade that actually rehydrates your body?

You may not be intoxicated, and YOU know that... But if I see you tipping back a tall boy while you're in your car driving near-sober, how would I know that? If I assumed you were fine in your case, I'd be right...

But should I assume that for all that I see doing this?

Do you feel the slippery slope under our feet here?

you'd think someone at your age would have more common sense. If you think its ok to drink any kind of alcohol while behind the wheel of a car, seek help because obviously you're an alcoholic. Knowing your limitations is knowing when and when NOT to drink too, not just how much.

To me there is no difference between the guy drinking a bud or the guy drinking a gatorade after work. I bet all of those people who are so worried about drinking a beer while driving home would never hesitate to answer a cell phone call while driving which impairs your more that ONE beer. I guess bobodog and I are the only ones who might have a beer on our way home from work. We must also be the only people who have ever exceeded the posted speed limit before too.
actually I do, normally can't hear the phone ring anyway

Wow, some of you are not getting my point... In Utopia, YES, there is nothing wrong with a guy drinking ONE beer on his way home from work, speeding a little, or talking on the phone for a minute.

BUT, HOW DO YOU KNOW this is the case AS AN OBSERVER??? You know this for yourself, NOT FOR OTHERS.

I'm REALLY going to look at people driving by as they drink a beer and I'm REALLY supposed to think, "Oh, I know some people on LS1tech that posted today and they drink only a beer or two while driving home and it's okay, so this guy is probably drinking one beer too," and the guy might be on his 10th.

Jeez? Are you people serious?

WTF is going on here?

Considering it's also against the law to have an open container while driving......I still don't see the point in trying to justify drinking one beer while driving.
