some of you guys should have no issuses making 700rwhp with your setups
my car has made 694 on a dyna pak dyno
and 625 on a dyno dyamics but it traps 128 in a 3680lbs car which come out to be about 658 if you do the math
as far as cubes i keep them small for a few reasons
mileage
have a power adder so i let it make the power
want to leave as much of the structure in the block as possible. more metal = more stronger
I have a 2004 LS6 block, it uses the LS2 rear cover,
I heard something that the last of the 5.7 L aluminum blocks, were all LS6, like the one i have , and made just like the LS2 blocks for even more strength,
Does anyone know anything about this?

and forgot this was old poll but since been driving car more now update is in order.
408 ironblock. Heavier but strong. Original goal was 800rwhp auto ,850rwhp stick.
Now think 1000rwhp auto is reasonable and pretty sure fuel system and block can take that power level.
Not overly worried about weight, car is a fat pig so make up for it with power.
AFR 225s as wanted a thick deck head so not to worry much about blowing head gaskets. Still doubt will ever be past 15psi even if upgrade turbos over winter.Car is stupid fast at 8psi already and can always hit it with some spray my zex direct port kit is 75 to 300 shot.
Like my gt7 ling cam. very mellow no lope at all. Easy to tune. No cam surge. Went to 1.8s yella terras to get a bit more lift.
So really nothing that regret. Did originally want to go to a 427 but its not really needed, the 408 has plenty of grunt off boost and lots of torque on or off boost. It spools up the current smaller turbos very quickly. should still do a decent job on a bit bigger ones and again have spray if want instant spool up.Best of both worlds.
I guess if something ever happened to write off this motor might go to lsx block and maybe 6 bolt heads and then 427 or 454 size but really that is just stupid stupid torque and hp and could then go to like 1700 hp with bigger turbos and 300 shot but then need huge fuel system, maybe trans and rearend would start breaking etc. Would have zero traction at pretty much any speed etc.
Guys get way too carried away with trying to hit a certain power mostly for bragging rights. Admit mostly want 1000rwhp just for that.
600rwhp is nothing to sneeze at. Plenty on the street. And still fairly controllable.
At least with turbo build I can experiment and get used to different power levels.
etp 225 heads....got them for the thicker deck
patrickG specd cam...its tiny...230-234
I wanted a low revving motor with some torque to move my 4100# streetweight and 3.08 gears.
ls6 intake
I am very pleased with everything as far as the motor goes
In the future I'd like to go to a ls2 408 to drop some weight and run a little cooler as it seems the aluminum blocks do.
