hey guys what size engine are you boosting
need alittle info for my build
just tell us what you have and how you like it. what you could change to make it better. more cubes, heads, or bigger cam things like this
i have a aps kit, m6, 12 bolt , stock bottom end at 12psi right now. i want to hit about 800rwhp with a nice driveable bottom end 346-377 with more boost or 402+ with less boost, any ideas. this a street car but i drive it like i stole it

Cubes.......: 355
Cam.........: Custom application specific Bret Bauer Turbo Cam
Bottom end: All forged, spec'd to safely handle up to 800hp
................... Rods: stock length
................... Crank: stock stroke
Heads.......: Stock ported
Hotside.....: Log style-Reason: logs are less expensive, less intrusive, better plug access
................... and generally allow all accessory retention.
Radiator relocation altered: No. But use of 'thin' fan required because Turbo too close.

In closing, be honest with yourself and the vendors you field answers from about your driving style and goals. While I'd love to have the stupendous HP/TQ of Tiago's car, I fear I'd be spending equally stupendous dollars replacing destroyed transmissions. I shot for 600RWHP because I feel that on my daily driver (To/From work in Houston, TX) that is the most I can actually get to the ground thru my Nitto Drag radials. Your goal of 800 is only a twist away on the Boost Controller but I think I'd just be going up in smoke.
I have the T56, Ford 8.8/Gm 10 bolt hybrid 4.10 differential, subframe connectors, BMR LCA/PHR so I'm all set on the chassis short of a legal rollcage. Your ride sounds like a great one!

LQ9 block at stock bore stroked with a 4.00" crank. If the 6-bolt blocks would have been out when I started this last build, I would have used either the GM LSX or Warhawk blocks. I am currently switching out the LS2 intake and 75# injectors for a Vic Jr and 100# injectors. I was starting to max out the 75# injectors around 4400 RPMs making 720ish rwhp and 690 rwtq at 3200.

Hitting 800 rwhp with a stock bottom is going to be hard. You can do it, but it will be short fused time bomb. The stock rods and pistons will not handle that power for long.

You can definitely make 800+ rwhp with a 346 motor, but the combo needed tends to led to a not too friendly street car.

408 built by Speed Inc., mild cam/ low boost. Very street friendly, even though it is not a DD.

Stock LS1
LS6 valvesprings
TSP Pushrods
Racetronix Fuel Pump
Motron 60lb injectors

Perfect for my current set-up and I DD the car (14k in a year). But if I wanted more power fuel pump would have to be upgraded (probably to that nasty twin pump set-up) and stronger valvesprings if I run more boost. And of course forged internals. But that is for another year. Need to get rid of this 10 bolt first.

Really wanted a 427 but for FI it just wasn't necessary for NA then 427 or even bigger would be great.

I compromised with an iron block 408. Seen many guys running great times on the boosted lists with 370 iron blocks and 408s. I wanted more torque and power on boost and off boost.
Also with the bigger engine I went a bit more mellow on my cam..only around 580 lift with the 1.8YT rockers. And went high lsa since not really into lope on this car.
I also expect to be able to run less boost and get the same power as a smaller engine.
There is still some debate if the standard aps turbos can do around 800 to 850rwhp on a 402/408. Think so far Jm is highest with 720 on his auto 402 at 12psi or so.

I am not overly worried.I wanted a bigger engine and if the turbos can't keep up enough then maybe get them tweaked by company that is tweaking Kwkkars APS turbos.

See how it goes. Also I would not run a non forged engine with FI. I know many have done it but its a ticking time bomb sooner or later. I have seen several blown stock pistons. You can get buy with stock crank if you must but good rods and especially good pistons are key .Course there are those guys running pretty high boost on the stock blocks ..

As for driveability and other comments on my 408 combo can't say as currently assembling and installing my 408 and twin setup. Might have a report in a week or so.

revs pretty quick, only problem with going 383 is its hard to find pistons without a custom set.Mine are -25cc's and it takes me to around 8.5-1 which is great for a lot of boost but a little less power off the boost.before the turbo went on car made like 420 rwhp.So a little lower on the power without boost
