Default APS TT swaybar banging fix

I'm not good with fab, but my s/o is, he came up with a way for me to gain a half inch of clearance between my (dented) swaybar and piping. My car is not lowered at all, this has completely fixed my problem (so far). It is so much nicer to drive without the banging.

It's a nice set of bracket/spacers and accompanying hardware that get the job done. The sway bar end links are also shortened. Here is a pic:

Now to fix the pipe...the mounting tab that you secure it to the brake line bracket with broke clean off during all of that banging

In other news I have a good transmission now and got a restall from vigilante. Hopefully she'll move out better at the track now. I'll find out soon.

Good job. I made some 1/2" spacers from aluminum stock, but don't have shorter links yet.

Hmmmm, may have to look into this over the winter. I don't think I have heard mine actually bang on the tubes. But there are marks there.

I took off big hotchkis sway bar for now but seemed like pretty easy fix with spacers and modding the links. My car is lowered maybe 3/4 to one inch. Will mess on it later one right now just want car running. But nice to see people working on this.

I am running a "FAT" Spohn sway. Thicker spacers and longer bolts. Shorten the end links. FIXED.

So mterveen you have aftermarket sway also..how much drop on the car? so you shortened end links and added the spacers..wouldn't big washers space it out just as well or should a guy make little plate spacers?

Hmm so dont shorten the end links..seems to me having a sway bar would be better than currently no sway bar. So if you don't shorten the links than would have to cut the tubes and put in silicone couplers where it hits?
And I was just going to do the spacer/endlink thing..
So if you put in half inch spacers then you shorten the end link 1/2 inch?
I think would try it anyway.
