Well unless you have some kind of air lock problem I would put in another therm ,maybe the current one is stuck closed. On my 97 talon build had that happen with a brand new factory therm..very annoying! Finally figured it out.

Did this just all of a sudden start, or is this a new build that gets very hot?

Its easy to see if the t-stat is working. If its stuck closed the needle will go into the red like a windshield wiper. Just start the engine while its dead cold with the radiator cap off, stand there and wait to see if the coolant starts to flow. If it does, the t-stat is opening and the pump is pumping. Should open in about 10-15 minutes. KEEP checking the temp gauge while you wait though so you don't sit there and over heat.

Its just as easy to see if the water pump is working, and they don't really ever stop working, they just blow seals and leak.

You probably don't want to hear this, but the factory stock radiator is hard to beat. If the cooling system is working properly a stock radiator will support some serious power and big cubes. My 427 runs just as cool as when it was stock, even when I romp all over it.

Your tstat is stuck closed or your fans are not coming on.

Or the fans are blowing the wrong direction, which is very easy to do. Bob

Or its vapor locked. I have to fill the return hose with coolant about 3-4 times before all the air is gone. Pain in the ***. Like stated, if there is air in the system, you'll go hot real quick.

The turbo is also right next to the radiator / AC radiator which can cause heat problems. I think there was a couple of other people that had this problem with this kit

Ok.head gaskets r good...Problems is some where else.It cooled a lil better after tha a/c condenser was removed dont know y is that cause a/c conderser is between tha motor and tha radiator not blocking airflow from fan.just took longer to warm up..Im thinking of tryin tha stock radiator & fan just to see...
