Spintechs can be just as loud as XR-1's and Flowmasters. It's nothing but a steel box with some rings. Not a lot of baffling in there to muffle it down. That's just my take on it though.
Werd. I know a couple of people with Spintechs, and quiet they aren't.

Spintech's are quite loud from what I remember hehe. That wont do it for you.

dynomax ultraflos are a lot quieter. Why not run something quiet? You'll drop the exhaust at the track anyways

My magna flow quiets my car very well with very little loss in power. It flows very well, is not chambered and drops the tone down to a mellow roar. Uncapped my car is very loud. As stated above, you're gonna drop it at the track anyways

Jimmy we are dynoing the car next week one of the dyno guys is not available this week.

I think I am going to run the exhaust tips to the passenger side of the car like Nascar, www.musclemotorsports.com has some interesting parts for sale on there.

I would go with 3.5" electronic cutouts right off the headers, into a 3" (or even 2.5 if noise is a real concern) to the X pipe, back to whatever mufler you choose. I run the Eldebrock myself.

Your race tune would be with the cutous open. You would not have to drop the exhaust everytime you go racing, except for when you are really concerned about the weight.

This would be quiet on the street when you needed it to be, and loud as hell when you didn't need it to be. Best of luck.

Driving impressions of Dragula with a YS Trim
Are you driving it with the blower belt on or off?
I don't see any mention of power or boost etc.

Blower belt is on Steve.

I have not driven the car since last Wednesday, I was at a wedding Friday and was in Michigan all weekend.

I did hit a little boost once and it was pretty instaneous but right now I am holding off until I change the plugs over to TR8's and do a few other little things before next week's dyno session.

I agree, electronic cutouts seem like the best of both worlds. That's what MMS is doing for me. Of course, mine will be more of a daily driver/street driver then your's. After the cutouts we are doing Car Sound cats, a 3" y-pipe, and then I'm sticking with my Magnaflow exhaust. It'll be pretty restrictive with the cutouts closed, but more than enough for the street and my tires. And the look on the face of one of the ten dozen ricer's who live in my neighberhood when he pulls up to me and I open up the cutout will be priceless! Anyway, can't wait to see what she does at the track, John.
