Congratulation on the 8 second pass! Your car is one of my favorites on this site!
It's Absolutely Incredible that you can drive your car to the track, run eights and then drive it home! That's my definition of a street car!

thanks everyone, big day for me, biggest day since my 9 sec pass in 04
the popping was not me, i was using the trans brake and going off of rpm @ 4000ish maybe 6-7psi, it was 23 max on that run. i dialed more in for another pass but i never got to go out again. computer was shifting the trans for me around 6500rpm and went thru the traps about 6800
ls2 bait, lots of my specs on here but in short:
erl 6 bolt ls2 block conversion, all pro 6 bolt cathedral heads, ls6 intake and stock tb, stock crank, 364ci by wheel to wheel.
transformance 4l80e trans yank 3400 stall
midwest 9" rear 3.0 gear (for the 25.5" tires)
bogart bolted d10's
qa1 single adjustable shocks around
bmr suspension trz anti-roll kit
snow methanol kit
big stuff 3 engine and trans control
twin walbro fuel pumps in stock tank, 96# injectors, kirban referenced regulator
turbosmart e-boost 2
turbo technology air to water RACE kit, self-upgraded to pte-88 turbo, also self upgraded in-car plastic 5 gallon water tank
lt1 radiator, stock water pump
performance auto fabrication sportsman cage
i think thats it!
i dont think i could run an 8 with the manual, its just soo hard with a clutch to get a heavy car moving in a hurry, im not interested in breaking stuff anymore!
the turbo is good for 1250 horse, i guess i am somewhere approaching that
nobody told me anything directly about my lack of a chute, but they did make sure i had a window net.
this is the bracket eric at midwest made for me since i insisted on running the bmr extreme tq arm.
this is the trz anti-roll kit i put on yesterday. it was the only change to the car aside from adding air to the tires
i cant belive those tires held a 1.35! all be it they had plenty of weight on them.

Congrats Dave. Would you believe my firehawk is just now finally getting done? What a lengthy story you have had.
btw, I've gone from th400 to m6, that 4l80e looks promising. hmm.

i have not had any gasket issues since the 6 bolt stuff
i run the same gasket as last season though (6 bolt fel pro gasket)
after half the season i retorqued the studs (factory size) to 80 and 30 for the 5th and 6th bolts.
hunter02ss these bogarts are the road race rims, so though it still dropped an easy 20# of wheels off the car, they are still plenty strong for the street, and is the only set of rims i have for the car, i got them about halfway through the season and they have about 3k miles on them now.
that pass was 23psi peak. i logged the run..err i mean i logged my entire burnout and staging lol.
novi357 thanks so much, i know u know it aint easy skating on this tire, but i did think of u when i got the slip. hey do you know if that white lexus is on a 17" from import vs domestic? 2 power adder but hes been 8's over 160 as well. had srt (switf racing) on the side
oil pump was chosen by wheel to wheel, we decided to put a bigger pan on it and keep the rpms down under 7000 which was a rear gear and shift point change, no accusump or dry sump or that sort.
02bluefirehawk.. just think of all the gas and tire money you have saved by staying off the street! look forward to seeing it done, out and about.
