holset turbos

any of you guys running hx 40 or 55 turbos?
which would work better on a motor with an ls6 intake and cam only?

i tried this like 3 weeks ago. look at my post. but not much help on here. figured with 110,000 people on this forum. figured someone has done it

going to run a HX60. The HX55 is too small, will only give you loads of low end torque, and fade at the top end. (This on a 346 LS1..)

ive been around diesel pulling trucks for a few years, i cant believe turboes that big work on these cars.
what cam and heads do you use?

Um, if a h2d turbo can work on a ls1 engine and it is just like a hx40, and I have a H2E turbo, running at 12+ psi with no problems, and the H2E is just like a HX50, so what is SST talking about?? HMMM?? Go here first dude, www.junkyardturbos.com They show you that a LS1 Can and Will run with a Holset turbo.... And it don't have to be a big turbo unless you're shooting for 800+hp....
Just look at my avatar... Thats a HOLSET.......

Remember; You have approx 350 N/A HP on a stock Corvette C5 LS1 to propell the turbocharger. I'm talking SINGLE turbo, but I guess you all do in this tread.. If the headers don't look like "hello, help me"...
Yep, a hx50 can deliver 700hp easily, BUT that would be at about 35-40psi. Read the compressormaps and it will be a litte bit clearer. Flow versus pressure, versus CFM.

i just dont want it to be slow off the line. are the turbos stock or do they have light weight wheels on them?
its just hard for me to get it, im used to screwing around "for what seems like forever" just to get the thing lit.
