Local guy with third gen has t70 one of those on his car. He has ran a best of 11.23 at like 126mph and thats really decent for our altitude of like 1700 feet.
So it seems to be working great.

It all depends on your power goals and packaging them on your car.
Some cars are easier to package small twins versus a big single.
Check the flow ratings/compressor maps of some turbos to guide your decision of single or twins, then call your favorite turbo vendor to fine tune the specifics.
Turbos are rated at how many lbs per minute of air they can flow at a given pressure ratio.
You can go a little bigger on an automatic track car.
As a general guide, 1 lb/min will support 10 HP
(ex. my twin 66mm Borgs are good for 80 lbs/min each, so they could support up to 1600HP).
That is beyond what HP I plan to make, but my HP goal of 1,100~ is right in the sweet spot of the compressor maps so they should be very efficient at my power level.

The twin 38mm gates are fine, that is what I am using.

I think you mean 1 lb/min will support about 10 bhp

example t76 that flows 100 lb/min equals about 1000 bhp
