are those REAL iat numbers, or is that the iat where vortech places it. (on the inlet side of the blower

either way.. WOW, that is cold.

wonder if its due to the 60 degree ambient?

Im in florida, and will be doing some kind of cooler, as i don't get that cold weather often.

yes those are real IAT numbers. I relocated my sensor right before the throttle body.
Without water/alky it was around 160-170 degrees with a 60 ambient.

ok, i reread, and that makes sense, i read it as this "pull with no intercooler and water/alky"

i took it as no intercooler, or no water/alky.

With water/akly, that makes a LOT more sense

That's more like what I was thinking from non intercooled 10psi.

60-70 degrees of extra air temp is worth ALOT of power.

How much do you think Steve, everything else being equal?(timing, A/F, etc.) I've heard every degree is worth ~.9hp on a FI setup.

actually and this may come as a surprise, lowering charge temps with water/alky has a small effect on power by itself.
The water/alky displaces air that can be used to burn the fuel and it's darn close to a wash IMO.
But, it allows you run a lot more timing which makes power.
However, IMO some serious race gas alone will probably make even more power.
That's what I intend to find out next year.

I'm talking about using an intercooler(air-air, air-water) to drop charge temps. If you went from a non intercooled setup that ran 170 degrees to an intercooled(air-air, air-water) that lowered charge temps to 110 degrees you will pick up quite a bit of power IMO

The only experience I have is comparing summer weather to winter weather. The difference in power in the winter is crazy compared to summer. Basically that's the same as a intercooled/non intercooled deal but, it's just the base temp dropping that causes the power increase.
