10#'s intercooled versus 10#'s unintercooled

either way.. WOW, that is cold.
wonder if its due to the 60 degree ambient?
Im in florida, and will be doing some kind of cooler, as i don't get that cold weather often.
Ryan.
Without water/alky it was around 160-170 degrees with a 60 ambient.
i took it as no intercooler, or no water/alky.
With water/akly, that makes a LOT more sense

60-70 degrees of extra air temp is worth ALOT of power.
How much do you think Steve, everything else being equal?(timing, A/F, etc.) I've heard every degree is worth ~.9hp on a FI setup.
The water/alky displaces air that can be used to burn the fuel and it's darn close to a wash IMO.
But, it allows you run a lot more timing which makes power.
However, IMO some serious race gas alone will probably make even more power.
That's what I intend to find out next year.
The only experience I have is comparing summer weather to winter weather. The difference in power in the winter is crazy compared to summer. Basically that's the same as a intercooled/non intercooled deal but, it's just the base temp dropping that causes the power increase.
