Default Sell milled heads, get Procharger.

Just thinking out loud. I want more power!

I might sell my 62cc AFRs and put the stockers back on with upgraded springs.

I have a stock short block with the AFR 224/228 cam. I figure I could make some decent power (500+RWHP) with this cam, the bolt ons I have and a Procharger @ 8 PSI.

Why not pick up a cheap set of 317's? That cam should work pretty well with the SC. You can get the heads pretty cheap and then like you said upgrade the springs and maybe valves and you should be good to go. Even with your stockers though you should still be able to see those numbers pretty easily.

I too was originally going to do a H/C setup. Then decided that for the price of heads and a LS6 intake for my car, that I'd rather put that money towards a Procharger kit and make more power. Kept the stock heads (upgrade everything though) and intake. Just going to add the Futral F7 Blower cam and P1SC-1 at 6-8lbs. Will easily see 500rwhp+

I want to be at 500rwhp but no more then 550rwhp to keep the bottom end safe.

500+ is pretty easy with 7 to 8 psi of boost. Bob

Getting a set of 317 heads with 72cc chambers would be much better than the stock 65cc ones. The difference between 62cc and 65cc is not much at all. With 72cc chambers your static compression ratio will be lower and you can run more boost safely.
