Calling out all Warhawk owners
Well basically I thought we should have a thread about this, I am under the impression that there is no thread that addresses this directly in the forum, and the problem is more common than I thought it was.
Were obviously talking about the Warhawk dropping sleeve issue.
1- Id hope all Warhawk owners would step in and tell us when they purchased their blocks, and whether or not they faced any problems since.
2- For those who did, how did you find out, and how bad was the damage?
3- What have you done to resolve the issue?
4- How much have you driven your car?
5- Did World step in and say anything about the blocks?
I personally put $20K+ on my Warhawk and if thats the issue then this might as well be the first and last Warhawk block I purchase. Id take the extra weight and half-price of the LSX over this crap (god forbid)

I bought mine December 07.
Worst sleeve drop is 16 thou.
Has anyone experienced further sleeve dropping after redecking the block, or do they basically drop once to a stable position?
Diesels have a shoulder on their sleeves preventing dropping. I can't understand why our warhawk blocks weren't constructed the same way.

I'm almost sure the sleeves have a shoudler to sit on. But you have to make sure the sleeves are fully seated to the alum before u deck the block the first time.
I have a buddy whos running a warhawk with about 30k miles now. bought over a year and half ago. road racer think about 600hp. pushed sleeves down on shop press when he first got the block never had any dropping issues

ok, no one answered my question, what are the symptoms of dropping the sleeves, and did anyone AT ALL not have this problem?
My question in short, are ALL Warhawk blocks going to drop sleeves at some point? Cause if thats the case then it SUCKS bigtime.

Sounds like to me when the block gets heated up for the first time the sleeve's drop?? Apparently the machine shops who have delt with this before knew what to look for or do to ensure that the cylinder wall's are seated properly, and therfore there owners have no problems with this?
Read the posts if the sleeves are pressed then they wont drop anymore. IF there not pressed who know its a guess in the dark.
