Default S91 Turbo Cam?

Combo 408ci TH400 3800 Stall (Prob swap to a 4L80E soon) S91 Turbo.

I ran this cam in my 346ci single 76MM setup.

231/226 601/591 115 lsa

Now with this new setup is it going to be good enough. I am doing a log manifold with 2in primairy tubes feeding into the log. 5in down pipe on the turbo.

Probably wouldn't be to bad but there is a lot info needed here, like cylinder heads intake, compression.....

you can go much bigger with the 408,somewhere in the low 240's,like around 244-236 .615-.605 115,but without knowing all the details that would be a guess

I agree, mine ended up at 242/238-.610/.605 115 in a 427 and S91, Kurt at W2W spec'd it for my set up.

I really depends on the use of the car. If its pure drag race, you can get pretty crazy with your cam. I've seen some 27x durations with 380ci's that ran REALLY good.

If the street's car idle is about 2600 RPMs, you could run that cam with no problems

With LS3 heads I'd run the reg split. The intake flows too good while the exhaust flows like crap. You need a Cam speced off the head flow.Off the top of my head guess would be a 228/234 on115 or 116.No need to run a huge cam with those heads.

Every application requires a different camshaft,i use both reverse split as well as traditional split cams depending what combo of parts as well as how its going to be used. With the LS3 heads i would probably run a trad split, probably like a 240-244 .612-.617 on a 115

Like I always recommend, call someone with the knowlege to spec it out correctly. Kurt wanted every bit of info on the car down to the converter, and came up with that reverse split, I'm sure it would have came out different on your car and there are some good knowledgable folks around like Shawn.

are you talking about duration at .050 or advertised duration, because 270 at .050 is a stupid big cam on a turbo motor,i've made well over 2000hp on smallblocks with smaller cams

Her is a link to my cam card.....I need to make power past 8000 rpm so thats why the duration is what it is....this is my new cam...my old one was a bit bigger....anyway my power goals are around 1700-1800hp What do you think about that???? I wanted a smaller cam in the car but a few builder/racer people said this is where I need to be....The new combo is a sbc400..-12 brodix heads....they flow about 355-365cfm and 255ish exh. and about 9 to 1 compression....Ex94 turbo...old motor made 1100+ rwhp...
