Default EPP blower cam?

Does the EPP blower cam 232/240 115 have any advance ground in? Where does peak hp occur with a 346 and 402 motor?

Thanks

I am pretty sure it is straight up. Most good FI cams have no advance/retard in them.

It has no advance ground it, I installed it straight up in my last two engines.

With a high stall auto and a dynojet its hard to get an accurate peak RPM but I shifted at 7000 and the car was still pulling at 7300rpm through the lights with a 347. Not many hydraulic cammed 347s that ran in the 8s and the the EPP 232/240 is what was in mine when it did.

I had power brakes on mine and didnt have any issues with the stock brake booster. Its on a 115 LSA so its not that bad, even on a 9.5:1 347, I dont remember what the idle vac was exactly but there were no brake issues at all.

I to have had no problems with brakes, at Idle I will see 12-14Hg, in cruise 6th see 10-12Hg.
Side note MPG 20-23. It has been worse due to a problem with the rh foot.

The dyno graph is from my powerglide/5000 stall Camaro with a 408 iron block, AFR 225 heads, EPP blower camshaft, Victor Jr intake, N/W 90mm throttle body, ProCharger F-1A at 18.9 psi of boost.
With just warm temperature water in the air to water intercooler, and 17 degrees of timing, we got 834 rwhp. Not bad for an automatic with a high stall converter on slicks!

Thanks everyone for the positive comments, we appreciate them! Bob

Mines done at about 6400, this is a 408 with a d1 could be because of my smaller primaries on my headers. run mine straight up.

Hey KP, you said you had great results with the epp cam in your 347ci? Been lookin at that cam for a while now and have not seen to many people using it on the smaller displacments. Hows the street drivability? Im building a 6.0 (365ci) with the new mp t-76 @10psi mostly but will push more on track days. Think this cam would work well with my setup? Dont have ported heads, just fresh 317's with patriot duals. Do you think it would work and be streetable? Thanks!

I used the same cam in my 365, its very streetable since its on a wide LSA, at least is was for me. Its no doubt a large cam, especially if you drop the compression a lot, I was at 9.5:1. Going to need a good tune too..

As far as for a turbo I cant say, I'm not turbo cam expert and have no plans of becoming one

Our cam worked (and still is) very well in this 346 with twin turbos, with very good road manners.
