Tuning Shops near the Deep South
Tuning Shops near the Deep South After the turbo install, i'll be needing a tune for my car, as everyone knows. Can anyone suggest a good tuning place besides Thunder Racing? I'm looking to drive within 8 hrs of New Orleans to have the job done.
RPM did my car up in NC. It may take you some time to get your car in there but i have personally had good luck with them but thats just me. I am sure there are other good shops that are a lot closer.
When I posted this site, mind everyone, there's no "bad blood" from Thunder Racing at all. I'm just looking for everyone's opinion for tuning shops as a whole. Sorry for any misunderstanding.

Whenever you are ready Ike, the trailer is hooked to the truck ready to go.
There's Futral in walker/ Baton Rouge, they are right of 12 behind the auto zone. Alan is very capable, reptable, & they have a dyno. I have a friend that just had them install a cam, stall converter, my old headers, built him an exhaust, and did a dyno tune. They did a really good job and my friend is very happy with their work, they are really good people.
They are shut down from what I heard, please correct me if I'm wrong. I did some work on a friends TT vette and he wanted me to do the tune but I told him I never tuned a turbo car and my first would be my own so I referred him to TR. They tuned the car but when he got back he told me that Geoff & Angie were getting a divorce and they were splitting up the buisness. About 2 weeks ago another friend came up from BR and said the sign was all messed up and the place looked deserted. This just heresay so please forgive me if I'm wrong.
I may be wrong, I dont want to be the person who starts a rumor but my friend with the TT vette was there and thats what he said they told him there.
I heard about the split between goeff and his wife but I didn't get the details of whats to become of the business.This is what I found dated December 30 in the sponsor section.
Guys, I am sorry for any hiccups which may have occurred during the past 2 months. We are not a huge company, just a tightly knit group of people who all share a love for helping you go fast. I hope you can all bear with us through this as we are now up and fully operational in our new location. I am working from home at a dimished capacity right now since having surgery a week and a half ago. I'd been putting it off for months now until all of this was stratightened out but now I had to do it or risk losing use of my left arm. All is well now and I will be back in the shop on Monday. Please be patient and I promise, any outstanding concerns will be handled in a timely fashion.
