Default 403 Kene Bell

Hey guys I am working on my new build. I recently broke a ringland in my 03 Z06. I already had a 403 from a previous build setting around. So I decided to use it. It is a iron block which I didn't really want to use in my Z but decided to try it since I already had it. For heads the motor has ET Performance 255 11 degree heads. The compression is lower than I would like 8.5 to 1. My Kene Bell is a 2.8 from Jeff@TPE. I am looking to make 800rwh and 800 rwt and to run 9's in the 1/4. I already have the motor out of the car and the new one ready to go in. I am putting the new one in this weekend. I am hopeing to have it in and tuned in the next few weeks. I have some pics for all you guys enjoy.

Looking forward to seeing these results! I'm still amazed you ran 10's on a stock longblock with just the 2.8 & cam. Definitely stepped it up a notch or 5 this time.

Did I read wrong or is your Compression ratio 8.5:1? Ill be putting the 2.8 KB on my 402 when the gto kit is done but I can only lower my compression down to 10.5:1 without changing pistions. Howd the 2.8 act with the stock engine compression?

The 2.8 on my stock motor was real lazy. I couldn't spin the blower fast enough with the stock motor. You couldn't even hear the blower under boost. It didn't hit hard due to spining it so slow. That will change this time tho. I wish my compression was about 10 to 1. I have pulleys to go 20psi. I worked on it all day and got alot done. I decided not to try and start it and work towards finishing all the small stuff. I will load pics tomorrow.

Im on ARrides as well, and I was just thinking, do you think one of those Kenne Bell superchargers would fit on an LS1 F body?

It probally would but you would have to cut the cowl quit a bit. Probably the hood would have to be notched and K-member may have to be spaced also. It would be wicked.

You are going to need a much smaller pulley.

We did a 408 cid LS6 with a KB 2.6 we ended up with a 2.75 pulley to get 13 psi.

It had a lot left in it....that 10.77 was with a launch that was anything but good. It bogged bad, then leaped out hard.

Damn Shane, you have that thing ripped apart!! Very nice buildup though, can't wait to see it when it's all tuned and finalized. You always have the neatest setups in this area, and we all love seeing the finished product. It's a beautiful car, and even with the bad launch on that 10.77 run, it still looked amazing heading down the track....sounded great too.

I have the 2.8 and a 10% overdrive pulley. I hope to have it tuned in a couple of weeks.
