As far as tires. Drag radials wont be to good on the street especially if they get wet, and they wear so freakin fast, when u daily drive them. Im also trying to stay away from slicks cus i kno once i start to hook there goes the tranny and diff... 3k i dont have right now....

I just dont wanna break anything else, the down time im having now blows. I'm having boost withdraw "BAD"
YEA I KNOW RIGHT, I WAS MENTIONING THAT EARLIER ....UGGHHH

Like they all say, If you can hook then the horsepower is unlimited, I had a supercharger that spooled up very quickly, made 648 RWHP / 612 TQ, I could only race from a roll and even at 55mph with slicks it would blow the tires off. I backed it down to 585 RWHP and it was a little better from a dig..

just get an electronic boost controller and solve all your problems. Or have so throttle control. It's not hard to stay out of boost. But really a boost controller is the ticket.

from the sounds of things at least for my application (TT GTO) , 600whp is the happy medium. Thats all im really looking for right now is a save place to rest for a while. My wallet is tired, and i hate down time.

I drive my **** every day, some times I race some times I dont, Traction is a major Issue with me but I love it. I know I need a harder tire because these g force sports are soft they are a good summer tire but the go quick. But 700+ is not too much, Hell i just seen how LG motorsports has a differnt boost setting for each gear using e.boost 2, Im looking at that really hard.

hey im just saying whats the point of making the power if ur not going to hook it? i no all to well how much money it takes to go fast. im trying to put enough money together to get my car to hook. its going to be 6k.

im only a 420 rwhp (mustang dyno) car and ive been blowing the tires off for weeks caz i was to poor to buy some DRs. now that i finaly have a set i can tell u it was well worth it to eacly use some of the power i spent so much $ to buy.

at the vary least u can spend the 300$ on a set of 555r.

Unfortunately it cost a little more for me to go with a wider tire. The failure design of the rear end on gto's will not allow you to house more than a 275-285 tire before your rubbing the struts. So first id have to spend about 1700 bux on a mini tub.
Then i still have the inevitable failure of the tranny and diff once i start hooking the power i'm making instead of just spinning... like another 3 grand. Ive head of these boost controllers tho. Might be getting one too........ lol

Lot of the roll races I've watched in south Miami, which happens about 3 nights a week around here, are cars with well over 1,000 RWHP are out every night. They hook just fine and never blow the tires off during races. Usually they do 50-180 runs. Big liter bikes get walked by some of these cars. tt Heffners, Supras, TT Vettes, everything. 800-1000 RWHP are the little fellers down here. There's an old 70 Camaro that has some sick BBC in it with like a dual stage 600 shot that does quite well too.
Everyone hooks, there's no amount of power that is too much. Word has it there's someone about done with a TT 454 lsx thats gonna put down like 1,600 RWHP in a WS6 Trans Am. Probably be the fastest roll racer in the country right there.

I make just shy of 500rwhp and thought that was enough... thought . Heads, cam, bigger blower, fuel system etc are being added for this year. Drove my vette every day rain or shine.

IMO 700+ is a bit excessive but with todays technology you could be doing that and still getting 25+MPG
