anything with sc in the designation means self contained, which means it doesnt need an oil feed to the charger.

it is self contained (sc) like the above post says. if it is not. you must use some sort of pressurized port like a turbo requires

ProCharger does not offer the D1 as a model for the LT1 and LS1 f body's. The self contained models are the only ones that are offered. Bob

What about the F1R and F2? I thought they were listed as self contained units?

Haha yes, they are self contained.. All the F series are self contained, so no need to specify "SC" with them. I didnt feel like explaining that part to the OP. Didnt want to cause any(more) confusion in this thread This chart explains everything: http://www.procharger.com/models.shtml

Besides the oil line there is a difference in the step up ratio D1 4.44:1 D1sc 4.1:1 The bracket is also different. I have a LT1 f-body bracket for a D1.

You are correct, I do remember reading about the difference in ratios between the D1 & D1SC, I had the D1 on my LT1 not the D1SC...They might not make them now but they did sometime ago...

I know this is an old post. But this is the only thing I can find close to what I'm looking for. I bought a d1 Not d1sc and I'm trying to figure out how to make it work on my ls1. My friend sold me it for cheap so i couldnt pass it up. I see some people saying they have used them and found brackets. Anyone confirm this? Or know where I can find a bracket? Any info at all would be great. Thank you!

Bob at Brutespeed can help you out. You'll need to tap at the oil filter for the feed and run a line to the oil pan. The only is with an f-body just like a turbo is that due to the low mounting you may need to sump the return. A y-body wouldn't have an issue.

ProCharger has never made a bracket to fit the older D1 blowers on the LS engines. You would be much better off to start with a P-1SC or a D-1SC. Bob
