Let's talk about Cam selection:
9:5:1 compression 408c.i. LS6 intake, 245cc TFS heads (70cc comb. chamber) F1-C, LG Pro longtubes w/cats and borla stingers, 3200 converter and 3.42s. The car is a full weight true street car. An honest real street driven, pump gas car that will only see 6500-6800 rpms a handful of times. I'm going to set the limiter at 6800. I'd like decent street manners but I do like a rowdy cam.

Bob, I was doing some digging (I do use the search feature! haha) I found this:

It all depends on where you want peak hp at?
A 427 will want a larger cam for sure, something in the 240s/250s for max streetable hp.
What cylinder heads are going on this?
Intake design?
Blower / aprox boost (pulley dia).
A smaller 230s/240s cam will peak around the 6k mark and depending on the grind it may carry it on for a little while.
For Example,
Our FI cam (232/240 595/608 115), is a great cam for 346 motors, we see a general peak on average with blowers in the range of 6500-6700 depending on alot of variables.
In a 382 that same cam tends to peak 200 or so rpm less, but usualy with a broader tq range from the CI.
In a 402/408, this cam peaks right at 6000/6100 ish, torque band is broad, but not where it should be.
We now offer a larger 400in cam for this reason, it is a 236/246 60x/60x 114, this is a nice cam that will bring power out to the range of 6400-6600 depending on heads/intake combo."

When going with an even larger camshaft, you have to deal with using a stronger valvespring than what is the norm, as you have the added boost pressure to contend with. Bob

^that is what I was most interested in vs. your smaller 232/240 cam.
When you say a stronger valvespring, I assume you mean a step above the average .650/.660 capable dual springs?

Cam and mini-tub kit has arrived. Awaiting heads and shortblock. I nearly had myself talked into putting turbos on this car for the past few days...I think I'd still like to keep it somewhat simple and clean with the Procharger in case I return it back to near stock to sell it.

I probably won't put the new wheels/tires on until the summer. It's going to take that long to get them from I-forged..lol Yep..I originally wanted to do budget heads but then decided on TFS so I could use them on a future project when the Vette loses it's scare appeal.

Update:
The heads should be arriving this week. Thanks to the guys at LME.
I ordered the wheels Friday (I-forged Challenge) Big thanks to Nineball for answering my many emails!
LG finally came out with a 1 7/8" header (Super Pros) so I took everyone's advice and ordered them today. Now it can breathe!
