Is that price just the supercharger or does anything else come with it? I would love to throw one on a stock car and just cruise around all day kicking the *** of off Cobra's that are pullied. Then pull over and be like owe yeah I have a blower to. I am so sick of hearing about Modular Power on Ky Horsepower it makes me want to randomly run mustangs in general off the road.

Glad to get that out I sure feel better.

Im hoping something could be fabbed with the blower pulley so that you could run it and line it up with the fbody accessories and crank pulley. It also looks like a stock-ish belt, not crazy wide belts but i could be wrong. If you cannot run the stock fbody accessories and crank pulley i'm asssuming you will have to swap out all the pullies/accessories for the Corvette-ZR1 setup which would kinda suck. Im sure there is a way around all that stuff i just want to know how the heat exchanger and all that works and how it is plumbed.

Im sure alittle massaging is necessary, and you know someone sooner or later will chop up whatever is required to get this in their fbody engine bay lol Might just have to notch the cowl area alittle like the guys who run victor jr. intakes with the backwards facing throttle body elbow. Im sure it will have better clearance than those huge elbows since this setup points the throttle body to the front of the car

2570...that doesnt seem too bad...as long as you dont have to spend a fortune buying everything else thats needed to get it to work for us.

hopefully its not that bad overall but we jus have to wait and see who takes the leap and pinstalls one of these things. Hopefully it wont "nickel and dime" you to death like a nice turbo setup does even though thats part of the FI game lol. Dont think you will need as many flanges, stainless braided lines, fittings, and headaches that are involved with FABRICATING your own turbo setup or buying a turbo kit and finding out you still have to mod the crap out of your car to make everything work perfectly. I will post up with more info on the blower imma do some more research when i off work

oh i know lol im just crossing my fingers and praying that its more along the lines of "some massaging" instead of some "plastic/reconstructive surgery"

not one that comes with a hood and not one expecially that doesnt have any "guesswork". Anyways KB blowers are big bitches, they are very tall. You cant peice together some FI stuff without some guesswork lol

^ I'll let others do the guesswork and I'll just sit back and watch. I'd like one of these for a nice DD build, but I'm not going to be the guinea pig.

wait till a sponsor comes up with a kit that has it all.

for an f body i def imagine youre gonna do some notching and cutting. plus thats JUST the superchrager. you then gotta add all those lines and **** in so its prolly gonna be a pretty penny when its all said and done. Enough in my eyes that you may as well get a procharger and call it done.

Better find a good, patient GM Parts Counter guy and kick him some good beers or something. I've done some projects trying to use core GM parts and it's very rare to find someone that knows what you will really need to make something work.

Looking at this picture, I see at least 25 things that I'll bet money do not come with the P/N associated with the base supercharger, with a lot more supporting bits needed:

And it's a 10-rib pulley. I am not saying don't do it, but expect to come in at double the base price and probably some serious fabrication.

Oh, and if GM specced it with the 10-rib, I'll bet you need a full 10-rib setup to make it work reliably. If they could have gotten away with a 6 or 8-rib, they sure would have.

Jim

Keep us posted. I started a thread a LONG time ago on this subject, back in 07 i think. Maybe it will be worth it, maybe not. If it can be done for less than a procharger, and more reliable than a do-it-yourself turbo then maybe it will sell. Does anyone know the limitations of this blower? I mean if it doesnt have the ability to grow like a D1 then I think the price difference on the procharger side would probably be worth it. For one, its made for an Fbody... and you arent concerned with the cowl area. But like I said, if the price is right, then it would be a sweet GM thing to upgrade to. It needs to be REALLY cheap though... like used powerdyne cheap.
