67mm single turbo - losing boost in upper rpms

Well i figured out the problem today. I have aeromotive rails on the car, and upon putting pressure from the turbo inlet... All the injector seals are bleeding boost. Anyone else come across this before? Should I try new seals? Or is it the install height of the rails?

its not going to be a big enough leak to hurt power... re-install teh injectors and remember to grease the o-rings this time...
the issue is your turbo, you are out beyond the 60% teritory and that is what is causing your backpressure.. upgrade the turbo, (MP 70 or even better 76) will be fine.. and be sure your WG is big enough to prevent boost creep..

I would have to say back pressure as well. The patriot duals are great springs for the cost and should be your first upgrade. I am running them on a 60 trim near just under 10 psi.

Actually its a huge leak.... enough that I cant pressurize the system... The o-rings are greased and properly installed(this isnt my first rodeo). I attached a tester to the turbo and tried pressurizing the system and its pouring out of the injectors... I didnt have this problem with stock fuel rails, but after the installation of the aeromotives, its leaking. Didnt know if anyone has modified the brackets to get the rails to sit lower to better seat the injectors.

are the brackets for longer injectors???? if its for long ls1 injectors and you are running either mid length delphi ls2 injectors or short ls3/7 you will have a big leak.....

i think we can conclude that since you have a leak the length is wrong ;-) you could remove the rails and measure the injector length, give a call to aeromotive and hear them if they have shorter rail mounts to accomodate your ls2 or 3 injectors...
alternatively i know there are adapters made to "lengthen" the injectors... could be that fast sells them IIRC...

Sounds like waste a gate to me 10 pound not that much ,most of the time the spring is not that strong on the waste gate or a good Pro-fec B for your boost. Let us know what you come up with...

Looks like the problem was the injectors dealy. Notched the rail mounts today, sat them down another 1/8 to 1/4" holding 11 psi strong to redline now. WHAT a difference! thanks all!
