Valve Seals
how are you big boost guys keeping the valve seals down? about half of mine are off.
is there some other reason this could be happening thats a little deeper then meets the eye? only running 15 psi
my plugs don't look oily and car doesn't smoke, runs fine, I wouldn't even have known this was happening if I didn't pull the valve covers because I dropped a washer inside the oil fill hole LOL.

The bottom of the seals usually have a beveled edge which I sometimes grind off so the seal can go on further and have more area actually in contact with the guide.
Also make sure the inner spring isn't too close to the seal that it can come into contact.

its s single coil spring so I know it is not the spring coming in contact with it. But I don't remember how much shimming we did on these...I'll have to try and find out. Maybe Erik Koenig will see this thread and chime in

Same thing happened to my ETP 245 heads. We had to shim the valve springs, so we took them off. Valve seems where still in place at that point. We shimmed them up, and when we took the heads off about 500 miles later, we saw that most of the valve seals had came out of place.

Tiago, I am with Jim I was about to mention the sping issue I have had that happen before, but since you say the singles have plenty of clearance I would bet the seal is not on there very tight and might try trimming them down like Jim suggested and try again and just check them in a few hundred miles etc..They are just oil control the old style chevys used to just have an oring on the valve stem basicly LOL!

I'm dealing with this issue right now on my Supercharged C6. The car has 243 heads with what I believe are Comp 921's and the X factor may be the YT 1.7 rockers. No shims.
Car was eating oil, so we did compression/leakdown (thankfully perfect), and decided maybe the valve seals were old. Once in there 5/16 seals were completely unseated. Cool, we have our answer on the oil consumption.
We purchased new seals from AFR (black rubber ones, no integrated seat), and tapped them all down. The car no longer smoked that evening...until the next day.
Opened it back up and 8/16 seals were completely unseated.
We only had 8 OEM seals with integrated seats, so I'll report back on this if it solves the issue. They do appear to fit under the duals, and I feel this will be a final solution to what has been a frustrating issue.
