I asked the same question some time back trying to find a cheaper way to DIY a 8 rib set up. No one could list a vehicle using 8 rib belts. What you can do is go to Gates or whoever and do a backward search. See if they offer 8 rib belts and then find out what is the application for each one. Good Luck

i tried some backward searching but got nowhere.
but after a lot of googling, i found that there was a pretty recent ford mustang whom had 8 rib and apparently some cummings diesels.
but didn't (yet) find anything any more common

i'll try to visit some truck scrapyards in a few days , might have more luck there.

i really hate to buy a special 8 rib pulley for big money, and then have to completely re-machine it so i basically only use the outerribs

any idea if these are steel or cast or aluminum ?
apparently the ford lincoln 5.4 2000-2001 has an 8 rib too, but very unlikely it has the 7 inch crank pulley i need

The LS9 has a 10 rib damper and a reinforced water pump and that's the only wider GM damper that I know of. It's around $150 for the damper only. You would probably need the whole LS9 accessory kit to make it work, but GM is guarding the parts/numbers like it was their only daughter's virginity.

thanks, but i don't specifically need a gm application. (any will do)
as long as it is not a cast pulley.
i want to make my own (non gm) crank pulley , and would just need a 8 rib so i can make my own without having to do make the ribs too , as this is a bit to specific for my talents

What does the supercharged CTS-V run? I know it's not the big wide belt that the ZR1 runs, but it's not a standard drive belt either.

Quick Reply: oem 8 rib pulley , which cars ?
