QMP Turbo questions
QMP Turbo questions I have been looking at the QMP single turbo kit. VERY IMPRESSIVE! I was wanting to know, if I buy and use this kit, will I have to relocate any of my accesories? Alternator, Power stearing pump, anything? It looks like some of that stuff might be in the way. Is there anyone on here that has this kit? How well does it fit? How does it drive? How long is the turbo lag? what benifits have you seen with it besides the power incress? What are the negitive things you have had with this kit(fit, reliability, etc..)? Thanks guys!!!!
Re: QMP Turbo questions Try searching on the subject. There's plenty of info on the kit, if you can wade through some of the BS it has carried with it.

Re: QMP Turbo questions The alternator is relocated to where it is on the LT1 cars. Two power steering lines are replaced with two new ones supplied with the kit. The intake requires you to move the cruise control box out of the way, but it's in the same general area. The vacuum canister needs to be moved out of the way too, for the turbo-to-I/C pipe. The hood latch receiver bracket has to be modified.
That's about it. It's not really a big deal.

Re: QMP Turbo questions It does not sound to bad. I will have to wait 6 more months if I buy this kit instead of a supercharger. How does it react running down the rode? Did it hurt, help, or did it do nothing for the fuel econimy? The kit looks very nice. Anyone have anything bad to say about it?
