Default WTB 3" Aluminum Mandrel Bent Pipe

Hi to all,

I need some 3" mandrel bent aluminum piping to fab up my intercooler setup. I've done a search and can't seem to find where anyone has a good source for this piping. Do any of you know where I could by this stuff at?

I am also wanting to find some 3" V-Band clamps as well, also in aluminum.

Thanks in advance!

V-band clamps are in summit and jegs and they are proud of them. Most exhaust shops cant bend 3" well the ones in my area cant at least. either way regular shops cant mandrel bend the tubing. Check ebay

Yea, I knew they would be expensive. I just didn’t know who carried them. Thanks!

I knew there was more to doing aluminum then just sticking it in a pipe bender and going to town on it.

Check out vibrant, that is where we get ours. I think that they carry up to 4 inch aluminum tubing.

Thats pretty much what I do, but I have my own mandrel bender in my garage. I dont do much aluminum, mostly because of cost. I can and do from time to time, but its expensive and most people dont opt to go that way.

The other problem is, when mandrel bending is your stock material has to be nearly perfect. Alum tends to get dinged up, dented, the edges rolled over etc, which ads to the cost when you order 200 ft and can only really use 150 of it. Shipping is so expensive, that returning it is even more costly.

I only do up to and including 3 inch and I dont do just bends anymore. Virtually everything is custom made for the application for the project in front of me at the time. I tried the shipping stuff , making bends etc...and yea I could make money at it, but it wasnt fun, just making bends everyday for every shop out there to use.

Yea I don't blame you there. That's awesome you have a mandrel bender just "laying" around your garage! LOL!
