Some questions
First, it will be a 68 Camaro with and gen 3 engine with the T-56.
I was originally thinking that a stroked LS1 with a supercharger would get me to my goal of 600 RWHP with the appropriate upgrade in cam to match.
First, does 600 RWHP seems attainable? I'm thinking it is with a "relatively" mild setup (want it to be prefectly streetable)
Second, I was thinking of going with the forged stroker crank from Lunati, do they make pistons to go with it that will lower the compression to a blower friendly level?
Third, What supercharger would you use and why? I was impressed with the ATI procharger setup when I looked at it for my car a few years ago. However, I like the idea and lookes of the the magnusoon supercharger. Hood clearance shouldn't be an issue with a cowl induction hood.
Finally, the thought popped in my head that with this kind of power, should I look at the 6.0L block rather than the LS1 block, or will the aluminum hold up to this?
Thanks for the info.
Take a look at what Nineball is doing with his camaro build up...hes using a roots type blower on top of a built aluminum block...hes shooting for around 600rwhp I beleive...
I have an ATI procharger, it is a good product, should be even better now that they come with 8 rib pulleys, I also built my motor around an iron block....
Both ways can get you to the goal of 600rwhp...
