Question 383 (sbc) boost and compression question?

Okay, i helped my buddy take the old heads off his 383. He got a sweet deal on sum 23 degree Trick Flows 64 cc chamber to replace the old Torker heads. Anyway the guy told him when he bought the motor (complete) that they were Keith Black domed pistons. I am not a genius when it comes to pistons but they dont look domed at all!! They actually look dished to me. Here are pics. Can any of you guys tell me what (approx) compression with his 64 cc heads that this might run and what kind of safe boost he could run with a Procharger. He is looking to get a custom grind cam BTW. Thanks for any info!!!PICS------>

Looks to be like KB's 12cc D cup piston.

Should be somewhere around 9.7:1 with off the shelf gaskets....

That is a hypereutectic piston, which is not well suited to any detonation / or significant boost.

For a blower, you are better off swapping pistons now as you will likely have it back apart later.

Is the a max safe (suggested) amount of boost you can run on a hyper piston?

With a hyper piston 0 would be all i would say is safe . Not knowing what the top ring is gaped at i would be scared to run any . KB pisons are prone to pulling the top off due to the top ring not being gaped enough. Swap pistons while you can trust me on this.
