Still working out bugs in it though. We missed the arm distance by a nat, and the first acuator wouldnt work at all, so I used one from my turboed zx11 but it does now.....
Still waiting to see the logs. Priliminary feeling is good, but doesnt mean anything, we working on results and numbers.

Really hoping this makes a BIG diffrecne to the spool. hmmmm wonder if anyone from STS is reading this.
Chris.
PS how loud is the car with the bulet muffler on there??
It looks like the valve may be much better in the 0-5 psi area. Once it reaches 5 it pretty much takes off with or with out the valve. The 0-5 area, maybe in the 30-40 % faster area. IMO it drives like it s got a 67 on it. I might be delusional though, so zombie will have to post the numbers.
So far, it looks like it could be different for every application. Zombies car, if it spooled slow, it was from 0 psi to 5. Once it reached 5 psi (with or without) the valve it will take off anyways. So the place for improvement was really only in the 0-5 psi area. There probably are improvements above that, but since it takes off even without the valve at 5 anyways, you probably would never feel that change above 5, but might see it in numbers, from log files, area under the curve on a loaded dyno, or in short times at the track.
If someones turbo car, is lazy from 0-8....then takes off, they would probably see and feel a bigger change. So, those with big turbos will probably feel the biggest change.
Since I build turbo street cars that race, right now, I will not do a new build without using one. If I buy any turbo, it will be a divided housing just so I can use one, no matter the application.
Im also working with the maker to try and get a t5 flange for the ht3b turbo. We use them on compound turbo cummins, and there is a divided housing. Maybe i can see 40 psi on my cummins at 1500 rpm......that would be neat and keep egts way down, lenghting the power in each gear. For towing it looks real promising.
The other option.....is use the ht3b on a gas engine like a ls engine. They are 80 mm turbos, with giant exhuast housing, and with teh valve may make it perform well.....and they are about $450 new.....so it may be possible to get into a 800 rwhp turbo that spools decently for the street for about 650-700 $ total, that is near indistructable. Entire 800 hp turbo engine and turbo parts could be done for 5k maybe.
anyone know if the import guys are using these?? bet they would see a real gain with the small engiens/big turbos/higher RPMs.....
Chris.
