Default Switching to a .68 AR

Well i went from a ls1 to a 5.3. How much difference do you think spool time would be in a 6 speed car with 4.11s going from the .96 to the .68 on a mp t70? I was just reading zombies post and started to wonder. This is a street car, not looking for insane hp numbers.

I'm not an expert, but I think a .68 AR on a 5.3 will be quite restrictive resulting in instant spool with little top end.
How quick do you need to spool that you would consider such a small housing?

i dont think you can get a T70 in .81 the .96 will be fine you should have full boost right around or under 3k

many 302 stangs trapping 135+ mph with .68 housings... even parish went mid 9's with one. switching to a .96 netted him very little as it's the wheel that is the limiting factor. if you want a fun quick spooling street car, go for it

Parish went from a .68 to a .96 and noted only about 2rwhp difference.

any T4 "P" trim housing will fit. I would bet you can pick up a used housing for $100, new thry run around $190.

MP should have an .81 housing now, but as stated, any P-trim housing will bolt to a MP turbo. I think they are about a $150-200. I ran both .68 and .96 on my truck, and the .68 did spool better, and really didn't notice a much drop off on top either. If it's primarily a street car, then I'd run the .68, cuz I like to be fast on the street
